Update 02/28/2023Once again, I do have to comment that Yeedi customer service was very quick to respond via email. Kudos to them for making the effort to make things right.That said, my review rating of the product has to remain the same. The replacement product they sent has the same issues. I've now gone as far as to add WiFi lighting in some areas of my living room and hallways to help "Harry" (I named the first one "George") along in finding his way. He has good and bad days, unfortunately the bad seem to outweigh the good. The additional lighting, during the day both at 7:30 AM and at 12:30 PM, doesn't always help George from getting lost. I've added another screenshot showing where George actually was (circled in red) and where he thought he was in the image, outside of my house. This was with lights on in all of the rooms. My house was built in 2016, so window lighting and the internal lighting are up to par and in normal ranges. The concept is really great, and I did really want to love this little guy (mopping, when he knows where he is, is great, not perfect, but great) but I unfortunately spend more time chasing after him and checking up on him in the app than I should. I have hopes that Yeedi will release an update or a newer product with better AI, headlights, or the addition of LIDAR, as they are off to a good start for sure, and have top notch support. I can't return the vacs now, as my window closed earlier this month, but I am appreciative of how responsive they were.Update 02/11/2023First and foremost, thank you Yeedi customer service for your support, looking forward to increasing my review rating. The interaction with them was via email and relatively prompt. I shared more details on the challenges I was having. After a couple of email exchanges, customer service asked for my shipping address to send me a new device. That vacuum showed up in only 3 days from the order being placed.Please see the rest of the review for ease of set up.I ran full Auto twice yesterday to get the primary map going. Will do so again today. Once I've done 1 last (total of 3) full Auto runs on my main floor, I'll build the schedule identical to the screenshots attached.So far so good. Will update once schedules are in place and running my normal routines.(Original review below)Bought this to replace the Tzumi Optimax 360, which I loved. However, I think having a white 80+ lbs husky and 2 cats was just a bit much for it. Was cleaning the roller at least once a week, which was fine. It finally, at the end of 2022, started to sound like it was starting to struggle starting up. Once it got full suction, it seemed fine, but thought it may be on it's way out the door. It had LIDAR, 2 front brushes plus the roller, self emptying. It was pretty good. So, started looking for something that would be a bit better for pets as well as functional mopping (not just dragging a cloth) that could at least control some paw prints in winter and after rain. Enter Yeedi Vac 2 Pro.First the good.1. VERY easy to assemble. I bought the Vac Pro 2 and then added, for the combo, the self-cleaning dock. Less than 10 minutes to open, unpack, and assemble.2. Instructions were relatively clear. Connected easily to the app, and named it George. (I will love him, and squeeze him, and call him George (I'm aging myself here))3. Opened all the doors in the house, main floor, and let George go at it to map the house (the next day, after fully charging of course)4. Took a little while to fully map, ended up doing it twice as someone closed a couple of the doors (force of habit) so it missed those areas (bathrooms), and there is no way to do an add on. Expected, not an inconvenience or problem, just user error.5. The mopping function was just what I wanted. The oscillating mop works well to control those foot prints. Wasn't expecting miracles on the hardwood floors with it at all, however, does perform better than I expected it to.6. It does a good job mapping the house and doorways so that you can label rooms. Can't do custom labels (which was nice for the Tzumi) however, the labels are useful along with having enough labels to cover your home.7. You can combine rooms in to a single room/label. (eg I combined my kids rooms and their "Jack and Jill" bathroom in to a single area)8. Scheduled cleaning works well and can be configured against individual rooms, areas, auto clean, or even different maps.9. You can create and save multiple maps which is nice for multi-level houses (assuming you want to move the vac between floors. App is relatively pretty well thought out.11. Does a great job of sensing the carpet when mopping on the main floor, and avoids those rooms well while mopping pretty darn close to the transition. It DOES NOT lift the mop or do anything of the sort to continue cleaning on to the carpet when the mopping attachment is on. Works as expected and went in to the product knowing that. I schedule 2 times a week, Monday and Friday, to do an Area Clean with the mopping attachment. Hit's where it is supposed to, and doesn't go where it should not.12. I have a cat tree that the vacuum has no issue transitioning up to vacuum the bottom tier of13. Drop sensors are highly effective, never had an issue with sensing the stairs and vacuuming right on the edge of them.14. Seems to do a decent job keeping itself from getting a lot of hair tangled up in the mail roller.The concerns 1. The vacuum gets lost frequently. Either not finding the base, or when starting, not "knowing" where it is and telling us that it can't find the area to clean. We never move the base or the vacuum. Later in the day or the following day it seems to figure it out again, but will not vacuum an area if it doesn't understand where it is. It will just stop less than 5 min in to cleaning and state that it can't find the area (the room it is ALWAYS stating in) and ask for help back to the base station. You then pick it up and place it back on the dock. Hope for the next cleaning that it understands where it is.2. The app sometimes fails to connect. I have a mesh system with 4 access points in the house, so very well covered for connectivity, so a network connection shouldn't be an issue. No issues with anything else connecting, as I will always confirm. If you can't connect to the vac via the app, you are HIGHLY LIMITED in what the vac can do or not do.3. When the vac "gets lost", if you put it back on the dock, there is no way to tell it that it is on the dock and to reset the location on the map. I've put it back on the dock, at the request of the vac, multiple times, and it still thinks/tells the app that it is somewhere else on the map. End up just having to wait that out and let it decide when it is back at the dock. At this point, you can't really do anything with the vac to do any cleaning. Just have to wait.4. Seems like the 3D Obstacle Avoidance and Mapping are highly reliant on very well lit rooms, which may lead to the issues with it getting lost. Seems like I have to run through the house to turn on all of the lights to get a successful clean and journey back to the dock. Not confirmed, but this is what has worked a couple of times. Not sure that is efficient for me or for the product. May be improved if it also had LIDAR, not positive though. (side note, my Tzumi would get lost too, occasionally (nothing is perfect) and it had LIDAR. Seemed like the frequency was less though).5. Does not, at all, like the bathroom rugs that are fuzzier and thicker. I now just move them off the floor the 2 days a week it goes in to the master bath and the "Jack and Jill" bath. This is just a small inconvenience, but notable none the less.Right now, I'm just frustrated with George. I only have a few days in the window of returns. Highly considering returning it and getting something different. Cancelled new orders twice now, for a different product, because I do want this to work. May have to bite the bullet though and go with a different vac/mop combo.
