Raynaud Harmonia

Inspired by the golden age of China, Harmonia combines naturalistic florals with dramatic colors and patterns emblematic of Raynaud's contemporary approach to porcelain. The inspiration for this collection was produced during the reign of Emperor Qianlong, part of the Manchu Qing dynasty, in the 18th century. The motifs include an exploded pomegranate, evoking the wish for fertile offspring, Pomegranate flowers (also known as eternity flowers), and the digited lemon (known as Buddha's hand). The subtle, powdery and polychrome colors, are dominated by shades of rose. Pieces of the original collection are exhibited at the National Museum of Asian Arts - Guimet, in Paris. Handmade and decorated in Limoges, France.
