Decent for the Price
Here's what I've noticed so far (3 days).- The second hand on my sample was erratic out of the box. Sometimes tracking slightly behind and sometimes between the second marks. It appears to be getting better though. Probably the battery is low but not low enough to trigger the two second low battery warning. Or maybe the mechanism needs to settle. Or maybe it's just a cheap watch. We'll see.- The watch keeps accurate time despite the erratic second hand.- It's so shiny in bright light that I have a hard time reading the dial and seeing the second hand. Old eyes no doubt but polished stainless on black is not a highly readable combination to begin with. A lot better in dim office light for which it was probably designed.- Lume is outstanding for a watch of this type. The lume easily lasts from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am the next morning. My eyes readily dark-adapt so it could be me or perhaps the lume is just new. Time will tell but if it's anything like the 1990's Seiko my mother-in-law got me from Goodwill, the lume will be going strong for years.- The size is 38 mm case diameter, 10 mm case thickness, 45 mm across the wrist and 20 mm lug width. It's heavy for a watch this size and, in my opinion, overly thick. A better proportioned thickness would be 8 mm. Thinning the case 2 mm looks doable given how thick the dial is (as seen through the day/date window).- I love the blue Saturday. It's appropriate the weekend is colorful instead of just business black.Overall, I wanted something smaller and thinner but still quartz, day/date and fully luminous. The watch isn't exactly what I wanted but it's close enough. Besides, I couldn't resist the damaged box discount.I have a 6.5 inch wrist. The photos compare it to a 1990's Seiko railroad watch.Update: 4/30/17* The second hand has settled down. It hits either exactly on the second mark, slightly before or occasionally, between the second marks but it's very consistent now across the dial. The hour/minute hand position seems to determine whether or not the second hand precisely hits the second mark. Sometimes though, it "corrects" by making a 1.5 second jump to the next mark. Not sure what triggers that action.* Still matching my iPhone time minute for minute. Of course, its quartz. I won't really know how accurate it is until the end of the year.* The polished stainless dial markers are an advantage in very low light. Watching TV with the lights off ruins night vision so the lume is useless. However, tilt the watch just right and the markers catch enough TV light to read the time.* Solar. A 10 month battery life before recharge. It's like winding the watch every 10 months if it's not regularly exposed to the sun. Not a big deal but something to consider in a cold climate or if you wear long sleeves to work year round.* The watch size and weight no longer bothers me. It's actually fine and the old railroad Seiko seems a little delicate now.Overall, I like the watch and I'm glad I bought it. Definitely good price/performance when bought refurbished, okay at the $90 or so Amazon price and not so good anywhere over $100. Just watch (ugh, really Dad?) the quality and take advantage of Amazon's generous return policy to correct any issues.

It was very hard for me to choose this watch among so many others, however I stopped on this one.
I was very delighted about the built quality. It was intuitive how to shorten the wrist band, so I even had not to bring it anywhere to do that.
Minute and hour hands glow in the dark for a while and on hour marks are glowing dots as well. You cannot see the date or weekday in the dark though.
The only tricky thing was the Date and Weekday setting. It was not very well described in the users manual. When pulling out the adjusting knob, it is hardly noticeable that there are two positions, so typically You will pull it out to the second position (time adjusting position).
Also The users manual did not include the note about changing the language, so I found out by accident, that this watch has Weekday setting in two languages - Spain and English. Language changes when You turn it forward within 12pm-2am on the time adjusting position.
The users manual did not contain the warning (or I could not find it) about that I must not change Date or Weekday setting when the time is between 9pm-3am. If You do so, the Date and Weekday may function incorrectly.
Also note, that You will have to adjust Date every short month when it is 30 days and in february as well, since it loops from 1-31 all the time.
Anyway, I am really happy about this purchase. It is just simple but very elegant and beautiful watch. It is also very slim, only 11mm and not very big, as I don't have big hands.

Oh, almost forgot - it is SOLAR, so there is no need to change battery EVER (at least it is advertised that way)! :)

Recommended to everyone as the only watch and as a part of the accessory colection as well. You will not regret it! ;)

Tom.
