Great lock - a good combination of security and weight. I would use for either every-day-not-too-expensive bicycles, or alternatively, if you're not in a high crime area, this lock can be an easy deterrent.
Additionally, the U shape is useful for locking things you don't want others accessing - including cabinets

A good middle ground between weight and security

This lock is very heavy Duty. I don’t have to worry about leaving my sons bike on a regular lock because this one is double the strength. Easy to use and take off. I recommend this to family and they love it

The Kryptonite KryptoLok with FlexFrame U Bracket is a sturdy U-lock for bicycles or motorcycles. U-Locks are great anti-theft and protective locks. It is the largest and heaviest U-lock I have used on my bikes and feels quite sturdy and not at all clunky to lock. It also has a keyhole cover. I would highly recommend factoring in the dimensions, especially if you are going to use the FlexFrame U Bracket. My bike does not have a traditional smooth and rounded frame which made attaching the bracket somewhat difficult, or just made it less useful as it felt loose. Because of the size of U-lock I was steered towards putting the bracket and u-lock in a less than ideal place, but it worked out, nonetheless. As for the bracket assembly, it comes preassembled and requires you to thread the nylon belt component around your desired bike bar, pull it tight, and then put the plastic top onto it which you then tighten with a hex key. My only complaint is the bracket is entirely plastic and even has a plastic release button (clunky) to remove the U-lock from the bracket. I wonder how long it will last from wear-and-tear or very cold weather. Apart from that, I think the KryptoLoc will serve its purpose and help protect my bike as intended. It also comes with a lifetime warranty.

Great U lock

The U-lock is amazing. It’s really secure and different than any other lock you would use. It’s heavy and keeps my bikes safe especially whenever my son needs to use it to prevent someone from taking his bike. The long neck of the lock can wrap around creating a secure lock. It comes with 2 keys and no one can get it open. It’s the greatest lock I have seen by far. I recommend anyone looking for a strong reliable safe lock this is the way to go.

Great lock

This lock is no small device. Well made, large and very strong. Definitely will give you piece of mind when locking up your equipment. I am hooked on this lock and will be getting more when needed. You can rest easy knowing your equipment will not be taken with this bad boy on it!

Very heavy duty

This "U" styled lock is very rigid and durable leaving me feeling satisfied with my bike being secured. Always wanting to try the Kryptonite Kryptolock, I was a bit skeptical to try something new. The lock is heavy than it seems, but not overly. The weight let's you know that it's there with purpose, and that's to protect your bike. I am very satisfied. I've made my own theft deterrent chains over the years, but this U lock is going to be my go to lock for securing my $600 bike. As riding has become the norm in my area over the passed few years, so has bicycle theft. This lock takes that fear away.

Durable bicycle lock

I'm a big fan of this brand. There are different sizes, which is wonderful. They normally come with three keys instead of two, which I absolutely love and so does my family. It's not heavy, the size is perfect and overall I like this lock. Perfect for me to be able to ride my bike and be calm when I want to do something different. I recommend it!!!

Perfect !!!!

Easy to use and easy to keep with the bike. This is a strong lock that secured my bike wherever I go.
It comes complete with a nice bracket that makes it easy to carry the lock with the bike at all times.So many times a had a lock , but left it behind because I forgot to take it. Bracket straps on to the bike with many variations or orientations to match your style and model. It comes with two keys , so I keep one on my keychain , and the other in a safe place at home. It was very easy to lock and unlock. No lock is 100% , but this one is substantial enough to deter most thieves. I feel it more than serves its purpose to secure my bike. I recommend it for quality , value , and functionality.

Lock it leave it

This is definitely a heavy duty bike lock! Unfortunately the instructions are hard for me to understand on how to use the nylon strap with shim, that is the only reason I am giving this a 4 star review. The u bracket is large enough to use by itself to go around the bike and a pole, and easy enough for my son to use. We have had combo locks that can easily be cut, but this one uses a key and the metal is very thick and sturdy, so there's no way to cut through it. Overall I'm very happy with this, but if I could figure out the strap, I may be even more happy with it!
