Product Description
What is the difference between training and tracking modes?
TRAINING MODE actively tracks your posture and sends a gentle vibration when you slouch reminding you to correct your posture. TRACKING MODE actively tracks your posture, but your device will not vibrate or send you any alerts.
My device is blinking red – what does it mean?
Blinking red indicates that you need to charge your device.
Why doesn’t my UPRIGHT GO vibrate right away when I slouch?
It might have something to do with the Trainer you selected in the app. We recommend switching to a different Trainer, e.g., the Stationary Trainer, and seeing if that works better for you.
Can UPRIGHT GO devices be used to help with spinal conditions such as scoliosis?
Our devices do not cure spinal conditions, however they do help strengthen back and core muscles and enable you to build healthy posture habits. If you suffer from a medical condition, please consult with your physician before training with it.

I'm 6'2" and have had a slouch for many years because everything in life is about 2" too low to reach comfortably with good posture. I've tried the posture correcting shoulder strap brace things and they work to remind you for about 30 minutes and then you forget they're there and slouch through them until 4 hours pass and they start to be highly uncomfortable.
I am an active outdoorsman and handyman/contractor for a living so I was hesitant to try this GO that appeared to be designed for a desk jockey. I finally figured the high price (IMHO) was worth a shot. In short, it IS designed for a desk worker and has its limitations, but, it has still helped correct my posture better than any other method I've tried.
Yes, it can be annoying sometimes when you're doing a task that involves frequent bending over or working under a truck or checking fittings under a sink. Easy solution! When you get annoyed, switch it to tracking and the buzzing stops. When that job is done, switch to training again and let your body continue to learn correct posture on the drive home or throughout your evening. I stick mine on right out of my morning shower almost every day and it says there completely unobtrusively all day long!
I disliked the adhesive idea when ordering and thought for sure I would order the necklace upgrade, but I must say I am extremely impressed with how well the adhesives work! I am about a month into wearing it and only on my SECOND pad! I've been told I'm a rather oily person even. I use the alcohol pads on the sticky every time I take it off and it's good for another whole day. (I started using rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab which is cheaper...) There are exceptions to the whole day stick when I sweat hard in the sun. I usually leave it off when it falls off on those days, clean it, and start over the next day. Can't win them all...
I think the programming and app work fantastic for what it is. You have to understand that all that this thing is is an accelerometer that measures unit angle relative to earth plumb. With that basic technology, there is obvious limitations. If you plan to be swinging a pick or cutting up trees all day long, don't even bother wearing it. It will be buzzing all day and you already know there's nothing you can do better for your posture...
One thing I like is that if you slouch far enough (like tying your shoe, or lying down) it does not buzz at you. All the the angles and thresholds and timers and buzzing patterns can be configured in the easy to navigate app to tailor the experience for you.
Unfortunately, I have caught myself in the habit of slouching more than I normally would when working sometimes to keep the angle below the buzzing threshold, which is not good but something to be aware of.
I also have very sensitive skin (or lots of hair or something) and am very aware of anything touching me so I thought this sticker would drive me nuts. After the first 10 minutes of wearing it, I completely forgot about it!
The battery lasts about 2 full days which is impressive. The included case I thought was stupid at first, but quickly realized how nice it is to keep the adhesive clean when you're charging it, or packing it along somewhere.
The upshot --
The most effective slouch tool available right now
Requires some attention and consideration to be effective
Wear it on the weekends and days you're just around the office and leave it at home on highly physical days.
Wear it a few days a week and you will surely become continually aware of your posture!
Great battery
Fantastic adhesive performance
Highly customizable
Non-obtrusive
The whole goal of this product is to remind you of your lousy posture so often that being aware of your slouch is constantly on your mind, even when you take the GO off. This does that very well!
Absolutely worth the price of nearly $100
I highly recommend the GO 2 to anyone!
As someone who spends significant time in front of a computer, I had already tried all sorts of ergonomic solutions, including an expensive chair and a standing desk. While these helped, I was still limiting my time in front of the computer to 20 minutes and lots of breaks. This significantly impacted my ability to work and get things done and I fell woefully behind. I also noticed that when stress increased no amount of stretching, P/T, gadgets, or standing instead of sitting helped. My back and neck would not only clench, but spasm. My migraines were so frequent that there were weeks where I could not get anything done.
The first day of wearing this was very interesting. The device kept going off again and again. I had no idea, no awareness, of how much I was slouching, pulling forward, and tensing up. I could not feel what I was doing. It's like my body had a mind of its own and I was not in control of it. I almost gave up on using the device because the interruptions were not letting me concentrate, but --and this is the important part-- my pain was significantly reduced. The space between my shoulder blades was very sore, but my neck and back weren't contorting themselves into spasms that made me see stars. I wore the Upright GO 96 minutes the first day (more than the recommended 60 minutes) but I could see that it was already making a difference.
Up until we had to travel and experience the joys of hotel beds, convention chairs, and airline "service" I was doing significantly better. I had a bit of a setback because of the travel, but I shudder to think at how much worse it would have been without it. Because when you're tired and can't rest, it gets harder and harder to maintain correct posture. This poor little thing was buzzing its little heart out the entire time. Nevertheless, I wore it most of the day.
It was pricier than some of the other solutions out there, but I would buy it again. Why? Because it doesn't rely on downward pressure which I would have inadvertently fought all day, making my problem worse. Today, about a week and a half after I started wearing it, I adjusted the upright ranged from 5 to 4 (a stricter range).
I like the iOS app and it's interface. It lets me set things up and turn the device on or off. It lets me recalibrate if it's too strict when I get tired so that I don't go back to slouching all the time even if I can't quite keep sitting/standing as straight as I should. My P/T is thinking of doing a case study because he says he's never seen anything like it. Yay. Go me!
I find the app to not be that useful except in setting it up. You do a lot of things during the day if you are active that you cannot be upright during, like bench pressing or working on something and so your upright o' meter just doesn't give useful feedback in my opinion unless your day is extremely regular and you do few things that require getting less than vertical.
The biggest issue I have with it is it inexplicably stops working at times which I believe must be battery related even though it's bluetooth will still flash blue. That's my biggest beef with it, it just does not work all the time and I have to recharge more often that I would prefer. Also the USB port feels flimsy and requires some force to get the USB necklace in, I question the longevity of it but we'll see on that.

The device DOES work and it will help you adjust your posture, train your back and also strengthen your core muscles. The app gives you many settings so you can select your vibration, its strength, length, etc.
The one problem are these adhesives. And yes, they do only last 3 days (one adhesive). I solved that. Once the adhesive loses its grip, I added some double-side tape on it and it worked perfectly - for many more days. Once that was also used up, you add another strip of double-side tape. And it will go for months. I found it works best if the tape is put on top of the used up adhesive, not straight on the device. Overall, I do advise this product, it actually does help.
