The graphics are incredible on the PS4 and especially the on the Pro. If you’re a fan of adventure games then I definitely recommend this title. I’m very excited for the sequel. Also, the fact that I got in on sale makes the purchase even sweeter. Also, I forgot to mention this is the complete edition which includes all the dlc

Hands Down One Of The Best Games Of All Time
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hands down one of the best games of all time! Horizon was one of the reasons that I ended up buying a PS4 and it was well worth it. The graphics are pretty amazing, the story hits in all the right places, characters are fun, interesting, and a joy to get to know as you progress further and further in to the world of Horizon Zero Dawn. The combat and it’s mechanics is very satisfying, the open world entices you to explore every nook and cranny, so much so that at times I couldn’t get myself to put the controller down when it was time to take a break, get something to eat, or ya know, sleep - but hey, who needs those things when you’re busy being lost in such an imaginative world saturated with a fantastic in depth post apocalyptic sci-fi storyline filled with interesting friends and foes alike. Do yourself a favor and do not sleep on this game!

Where has this game been all my life!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 80 hrs on the main campaign and DLC on Normal and then, another 60 hrs on NG+ Ultra Hard mode, this is definitely the best open-world game for me so far. What I love about HZD is that it has a very good balance all around. Besides robot dinasaurs, tribe, and archery, I came into this game blind; I didn't even watch any of the trailers and boy I'm so glad I did! The story completely caught me completely by surprise (once you reach the "The Grave-Hoard" quest, everything will begin to tie together so be patient). Each side quest is different: each either gives you a different view of the main story line or complements it (rather than mindless random tasks for an NPC that has nothing to do with the main story). I like that the story doesn't have a clearcut right/wrong: each side has their own perspective. The collectibles (metal flowers, datapoints, ancient vessels, and vantage points) also give you more insights about the past. All the NPCs are have great personalities with decent back stories that I like them all. Your conversations with some NPCs vary depending on your dialogue with them and/or other NPCs at a certain order. The combat is smooth and fast-pace; I love the thrill of taking down different machines with various methods depending on their strengths and weaknesses (those hunting grounds are good boot-camp for beginners). I heard some complaints about melee combat but this is NOT the focus of the game: you are doing it wrong if you try to hack-and-slash a Thunderjaw, Stormbird, or Fireclaw/Iceclaw to death! You do need to level up and gather materials but as long as you do all the side quests and tutorials in the game, you'll never have to worry about these things (at least I never had to purposely go out of my way to farm for lv/materials at Normal difficulty, though you will definitely need to on Ultra Hard because items cost a ridiculous amount of shards). You can override machines and/or use them as your mounts or fight buddies. Last but not least, Aloy's sass is priceless! HZD is definitely one of the most visually-stunning game that I've seen on PS4, just look at the screenshots! I'm forever thankful to have photomode. The characters' mouth movements are not the best in the beginning, but you can see a vast improvements in the Frozen Wilds DLC so I'm not too concern about it if they were to make a second installment. I must admit sometimes I override these machines and spend a lot of time in photomode just to appreciate the effort that Guerrilla Games put into this game. p/s: Shards and Mods farming tip: go to the spot right above the Sun Ring that has 2 behemoths and 2 longlegs, then use your corruption arrows (if you can't override them yet) to have them kill each other and enjoy the loot.
