Fingers started fraying immediately
I read about these gloves in The Strategist, which said their touchscreen functionality was excellent. When I got and tried on the first pair (size M), there was a bit of room on the fingertips—and since the instructions on the box said close-fitting gloves would be better for touchscreen use, I returned them and ordered size small.I am terribly disappointed. Although they fit very closely, as recommended, they engage very sporadically with my iPhone 13, to the point that I have to remove them if I need to use the keyboard.Worse yet, the fingers started fraying on the second day. I wear them only to walk to and from the bus on the way to & from work, so a total of 30-50 minutes/day. The photo I included shows what they look like after just over a week of wear.I got rid of my mittens for these and will need to find a replacement before trying to return these. $30 is a lot to spend on 9 hours of wear!

I’ve bought several touchscreen gloves and although they start out working ok, they quickly stop working. I believe I figured out that the reason is because you need a tight fit and other gloves were thin and stretchy and were loose on my finger tips. So these gloves I bought small and they fit tight to my fingers and are fairly thick and do not get stretched out. They are not going to keep your hands warm in cold 30° weather but touchscreen works great and true to size. I gave it 5 stars because it surpasses other gloves for what I wanted them for. Now to find a glove like this that also keeps your hands warm. What do outside news reporters wear when they are in cold snowy weather and I see them using their gloves while typing on their phones? That’s what I need!

Gloves work great on touch screens. I ordered medium which fit ok overall but the fingers are way to short and I don't have particularly long fingers. Not sure if large would make a difference but would make them wider which I don't need. They have a liner and that might be part of the issue. Gloves were not warm when walking outside for 30 minutes. The liner is some synthetic material which did nothing to keep my fingers warm. So, overall these gloves did not work for me.

I used these gloves on a trip to Alaska where I was taking photos with my iPhone in freezing rain on glacier cruises. They worked great. They were also warm. I'm just washing them for the first time, and I have no idea what impact that might have on the conductivity, but so far, I'm really happy with them.

It's rare that I follow a recommendation from Wirecutter that leads me astray, but this is one of those times.

These Moshi touch screen gloves were rated the best touch screen gloves by Wirecutter so I spent a little extra to get "the best." They worked reasonably well for a few weeks, but things went downhill pretty quickly. First of all, after a few weeks of use, the touch screen capabilities started to drop off, requiring more pressure to the screen in order to register. I had thought maybe the gloves were dirty so we washed them in a gentle cycle and things only got worse. Now the gloves barely register at all when touching a phone screen.

But the touch screen insensitivity is only one of many problems with these gloves.

A.) They're too slippery. You would think that a glove designed for use with phones would be grippy, so it could securely hold a phone. But not these ones. My phone has fallen out of my gloved hand numerous times due to the gloves having virtually no grip. One one occasion, the "moshi slip" resulted in my phone screen cracking, even though the phone was in an Otterbox case.

B.) Inner lining separates from outer layer too easily. Almost every time I remove the gloves, the inner lining sticks to my fingers, causing the lining to separate from the outer glove layer. You would think getting the inner lining back inside the outer layer would be simple, but it isn't. It actually requires a fair bit of force to insert each inner finger layer into the outer layer.

C.) Cloth composition makes them nearly useless in snow. I used these while shoveling in a snowstorm. It was not a particularly wet snow, but within 30-40 minutes, the gloves were soaked through, causing my fingers to go numb in the cold dampness.

Maybe if you buy these gloves, use them for a few weeks then throw them away, you'd have a fine solution. But if you're looking for a good pair of touch screen capable gloves that hold up over time, look elsewhere.

I'm another casualty of the Wirecutter recommendation. My hands aren't all that big, but the Large size is still uncomfortably tight around my fingers, and yet the thumbs are way too long. I usually type on my phone with my thumbs so the fact that the gloves don't fit my thumbs makes them not very useful. If you have skinny long fingers and thumbs these might be ok. But they also are slippery, pill easily, and the ribbed look is kind of childish and not very nice. On top of that they're difficult to put on/take off, not warm especially at the fingertips, and only really suitable for weather in which you don't truly need to wear gloves at all. They are soft inside, but that's about the only positive.

I should have returned these, I never wear them.

I absolutely love these gloves! I've got really small hands and they are the first gloves that fit me perfectly! I can text, open my phone and view apps with no issues. When the sensitivity goes, it's because they are dirty. Just machine wash them and they are good to go. I've had no quality issues and are comfortable to wear. I love them so much, I want a second pair!

These are awful. I bought large and threw out the packaging so too late to return; they fit like a medium at best.

I've worn them twice, and they're hopeless against the cold and have already lost their shape. My suspicion is that Moshi just stick their brand name on mass-produced Chinese rubbish.

Very disappointing as I wanted a nice, warm, functional pair of gloves for winter and these were recommended in the NYTimes. The reviewer clearly hadn't actually tried them on.

I bought a pair if £6 3M gloves from the local supermarket earlier today and they're infinitely better quality in every regard.

    Avoid, avoid, avoid.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cobweb of looped threads inside grab at your fingers
Reviewed in Canada on November 22, 2022
    Color: Dark GraySize: LargeVerified Purchase
    Wirecutter, you steered me wrong!

These gloves have poor build quality. There are many, many looped threads inside the glove. In the fingers, the thumb, and the palm. Your fingers get trapped and it's hard to put the gloves on. After you put them on a few times, the threads snap, which makes the gloves easier to put on; however, now the knit part moves around separately from the fuzzy lining. There are still a bunch of looped and snapped threads inside.

These gloves fit small and there's nothing bigger than a large. If you think you need a large you cannot buy these gloves.

This is my third pair of touchscreen gloves from different vendors. They've all been bad, and this pair is just as bad as the other two. I bought these based on the Wirecutter review (and the high price attracted me, thinking that you sometimes have to pay for quality). While that's true, in this case you pay for poor quality and that is no bargain.
