Realistic Tube Tone in a Compact Package

No matter where you are, you can plug into a Yamaha THR30 II Wireless and experience realistic tube tone. This battery-powered combo amplifier includes a full arsenal of guitar and bass amp emulations, along with mic models for your acoustic-electric and flat modes for everything else. Ditch your pedalboard — the THR30 II Wireless’s 3-band EQ, and a great-sounding selection of modulation effects, echoes, and reverbs, have you covered. Bluetooth support enables you to stream backing tracks — with full Hi-Fi quality — through the THR30 II Wireless’s stereo speakers. The THR30 II Wireless also includes plug-and-play USB connectivity for recording and playback, along with a built-in wireless receiver for performing cable-free.

Loaded with essential amp tones and onboard effects

Yamaha built the THR30 II Wireless for creatively combining tones and effects. Choose from one of 15 amp models. You can also plug in your bass or acoustic-electric guitar, and there’s even a setting that bypasses the modeling altogether. The THR30 II Wireless’s modulation effects live on a second knob, and its echoes and reverbs live on a third. The result is a full amplifier rig worth of effects and tone combinations. And thanks to Yamaha’s Virtual Circuitry Modeling, the THR30 II Wireless emulates each component in each amp model and effect. The guitarists here at Sweetwater have high praise for the THR30 II Wireless — it gives you super-realistic sound and feel.

Yamaha’s THR Remote app.

Bluetooth support for playback, preset editing, and more

Bluetooth support gives the THR30 II Wireless capabilities that soundly outclass its predecessor. Fire up your preferred streaming service on a smart device and jam along with your favorite tunes. Take a deep dive into the THR30 II Wireless’s amp models — wirelessly — via Yamaha’s THR Remote app, and create your own custom presets. You can also access the THR30’s compressor and noise gate for more tone-tweaking possibilities. And since the THR30 II Wireless features five user settings recall buttons, you can take up to five of your favorite tones with you anywhere.

Battery powered, so you can take your music anywhere

Want to busk on a street corner? Load some backing tracks onto your smartphone, grab your battery-powered Yamaha THR30 II Wireless, and you’re good to go. What about your next long car trip? Thanks to its internal, rechargeable battery, you’ll be able to rock out from state to state. Even if you’re flying, the entire THR30 II Wireless fits easily in your carry-on, so you’ll be ready to rock out as soon as your plane lands. Near an outlet? The THR30 II Wireless can also run on AC power.

Instrument wireless made blissfully simple

Thanks to its built-in wireless receiver, the THR30 II Wireless, makes cutting the cord blissfully simple. Fire up your Line 6 Relay G10T transmitter (sold separately), and you’re ready to go — no setup fuss, no fumbling with batteries or menus, just plug-and-play simplicity. You can even charge the G10T in the amp's input jack!

Inspiring little amp for all levels of musicians

I own a number of nice tube amps that all live in a studio I built downstairs. Nothing like cranking those suckers and feeling the air being pushed. But the only problem is that they are all the way downstairs and I do most of my living upstairs and being a hobbyist guitar player with a day job I sometimes simply get lazy about heading into the studio. That's where this little THR30 wonder comes it. It's a beautiful looking piece of gear, looks right at home on a vintage hope chest we have in our living room, and most importantly the sounds….the sounds rival what I get with my cranked JCM800 (with attenuator) but at a beautiful family considerate volume. And because it lives in such a convenient spot it has got me playing soooo much more. I also got the Line 6 G10 and now I'm walking around the house rocking out, like annoying the wife while she's cooking (just kidding she loves it). This might be the most inspiring piece of gear I've ever purchased. And really that's what we all are striving for right…something that gets us excited to play and is super convenient. Do yourselves a favor and just buy this thing. You will NOT be disappointed 11/10 starts

A Great Piece of Gear

This unit does not disappoint. I have yet to gig with it, but I have been enjoying it as an interface for my DAW and using the Bluetooth function to play backing tracks from my iPad while rehearsing. I also appreciate the convenience of using my Line 6 wireless G10Tii relay.

I have also purchased a wireless Xsonic Airstep foot switch that I am looking forward to using with the THR30 at a few gigs this summer.

Being wireless is magical

For a practice amp at home or traveling it's perfect I was I little bit skeptical about its power and how loud it might be but it keep me surprised the sound and modes are really versatile and easy to handle from the amp and more specific through the app that is so friendly and easy to use plus with the G10T 2 you just forgot about the cables and felt the freedom on rehearsals totally recommended and fully satisfied with my purchase I love it

Practice amp, or is it?

Wow,

What a beast of a tool for the developing guitarist, it is the essential bedroom practice amp, performance amp, busk amp, recording amp, and just really cool looking electronic device..

Really develop your chops, licks riffs and just plain jamming ability.

It integrates wireless connections to take you to the next level of guitar practice/performance and songwriting..

Anyone who didn't own one of these is a really loser...jk, but your cool points do go up when your buddies see you shred like a pro..

Great sound and versatility

I ordered the THR30II and the Line 6 G10 combo and wasn't disappointed. The integration between the two works great.

Out of the box the THR30II has presets that are a good jumping off point. You can dial in sound decent sounds using the controls on the top, but to get something great you really have to use the app.

I am impressed with the quality of sound I can get with a fender Jazz 5 string bass. While I was only looking for a guitar amp the flexibility to dial in some great bass settings makes the amp more useful than I was anticipating.

I have used the Mac and the iOS versions of the editor apps. Both allowed me to dive into the real potential of the amp settings. Many of the features are only available via the apps, such as the preset libraries, the speaker cabinet choices, and dialing in the effects. All of which can be saved to either the phone or the computer to be recalled later, or saved directly to one of the 5 amp presets.

The 5 presets can be recalled by simply tapping one of the 5 buttons on the top of the amp. Unlike some other products the amp changes sounds seamlessly without an annoying signal drop.

The only improvement I would like has to do with the 5 presets. While you can save and easily access anyone of them without the aid of another device, there are only five. Since I use it for multiple instruments and have a wide variety of guitar sounds I like to play with, 5 easily accessible presets isn't enough. Another 5 or the ability to select banks of presets would have been a welcomed addition.

It is pricey, but worth the cost for the line outs and higher wattage. The USB connectivity is a great bonus for direct recording. The built-in G10 charger and receiver make it perfect for the living room. The vintage look and small size made my wife extremely happy to display it on the living room book shelf.
