I have dropped this mug more times than I would like to admit on the pavement and other floors. It has one small scratch after a year of owning it and many drops. I have never had a mug or bottle this durable and strong. I hate when coffee mugs keep the flavor/odor after you wash it. This mug never has. Always tastes fresh and clean after washing and drinking. Keeps it warm and cold longer than any other mug I’ve used. This product is the best coffee travel mug money can buy. If you are browsing for the best, look no further. Just buy this. I just bought another one. I was recommended this product by my dad who has also had his two mugs for years. This thing can be turned all which ways and will NOT leak. How does it keep beverages hot?
The air between two thin layers of stainless steel that make up the body of the mug is removed to create a vacuum. Because there is no air, the temperature on the other side of the wall does not transfer over, keeping
beverages hot or cold for hours.
The Story About Zojirushi
Zojirushi (pronounced ‘zoh-jee-ROO-shee’) began in Japan in 1918 as a manufacturer of hand-blown glass vacuum bottles. Today, Zojirushi’s product line extends to high-end small appliances such as rice cookers, bread makers and coffee makers, high quality vacuum insulated products like vacuum bottles, lunch jars and carafes, and commercial restaurant and coffee equipment. This bottle is game changer. I purchased millions of bottles only to abandon them after a few uses. This one is a keeper! I actually stopped drinking from my mugs at home as they do not hold temperature well. Heated mugs ruin the taste. This one holds temperature forever.It is sleek and attractive design. Beautiful lavender color. 16oz is perfect size. I purchased 20oz before and returned it as it was too tall and I never could finish the tea I make in these mugs.Another important feature is the mouth of this mug. It is non-drip and it does not pour out like crazy, but at the same time, the drinking reservoir is rather wide. There are other models with very narrow mouth and I wasn’t big fan of the narrow design as it stresses my mouth somehow. This mug is perfection!
