I’ve been using the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Extra Strength Daily Peel for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly really impressed with the results. I have used Dr. Gross's daily peel before and thought I didn't like it as it was irritating to my rosacea-prone skin with redness and burning. However, I've been doing a lot of reading and research on skincare, and now know that I was scrubbing at my skin too hard with these peel pads, and as well, applying too soon after cleansing my face--better to wait at least 10-15 minutes or more after cleansing.The important thing is to let the 'acids' do the work by gently 'swiping,' not scrubbing or rubbing too vigorously, and not too soon after cleansing.Use the first towelette - gently apply to your face (and I include my neck and chest) until the pad is feeling dry. Wait at least 2 minutes and then apply the second. I then let that sit on my face for at least 20 minutes or even more before I move on to the rest of my skincare.On exfoliation nights, I apply more gentle skincare products that are emollient. I don't use anything with Vitamin C at the same time as these (I use vit C in morning), nor do I use any retinol/retinoid on my skin on exfoliation nights.I do a 3-day skin cycling so I only use acid peels maybe 2x to 3x a week - exfoliation, retinol/retinoid, recovery, repeat. The important thing is to let the 'acids' do the work by gently 'swiping,' not scrubbing or rubbing too vigorously, and not too soon after cleansing.
Use the first towelette - gently apply to your face (and I include my neck and chest) until the pad is feeling dry. Wait at least 2 minutes and then apply the second. I then let that sit on my face for at least 20 minutes or even more before I move on to the rest of my skincare.
On exfoliation nights, I apply more gentle skincare products that are emollient. I don't use anything with Vitamin C at the same time as these (I use vit C in morning), nor do I use any retinol/retinoid on my skin on exfoliation nights.
I do a 3-day skin cycling so I only use acid peels maybe 2x to 3x a week - exfoliation, retinol/retinoid, recovery, repeat. Sometimes I'll do a 4-day of exfoliate, retinol/retinoid, recovery, recovery, repeat - if my skin is feeling irritated.
