Chipped in three weeks. Completely unimpressed

My wife loves coffee. Her parents literally own a coffee plantation, so it's in her blood. She doesn't like to treat herself, so after seeing these nice looking mugs, I thought I'd get her a treat for her coffee time. They lasted three weeks before the first one chipped badly. I was so disappointed. We have a cupboard full of all kinds of coffee mugs, from tech swag to high end brands to brand X mugs purchased at Ross. We've had a few chip over the years, but never this quickly. They are nice mugs, but are clearly very delicate and frankly, style over substance just isn't my game. Give me a good quality product and I'll pay whatever it takes. We were completely unimpressed and are disinclined to even consider Le Creuset products in the future.

Sunrise Cheer for your Morning Coffee

When I retired ten years ago, I began building a collection of Vancouver mugs to use and enjoy at home with my morning coffee. My collection now stands at eight colors. These mugs are manufactured with the consistent quality that Le Creuset brings to all their products: beautiful glazing and color which never fades out, heavyweight stoneware to keep your coffee warm, and a wonderful design which is comfortable to hold. I just added the Nectar color this spring. The color moves from deep gold at base to sunrise at the top of mug. It brings good cheer to the morning hours whenever used.

Not Impressed

I ordered two sets of the 14oz cups. Almost every one had a glaze defect. After submitting photos, I was sent a box of replacement. Every one of them had a bubble or pit in the glaze. None of the cups had the trademark on the bottom. I didn't order factory seconds, but I feel like that's what I received.

These mugs are rock solid and perfectly sized. 14oz is the perfect size in my opinion, and the constructing should hold up for a very long time. Interesting that the licorice color is a matte finish- looks very nice but I was hoping for the same good all the other colors have. FYI: Le Creuset does not send shipping confirmation emails so you have no tracking number to follow. Unacceptable for any company, let alone a world- class manufacturer. I've placed 4 orders online and had to call CS for multiple status updates on each of them

I love these mugs - we have red and blue ones that we replaced with Thyme as we got a Thyme colored Dutch Oven for Christmas - now we want our whole cooking set to be Le Creusette in Thyme - however we have to wait until the color is offered with more products.

Tried to exchange 2 mugs for 4 others....

The company was very difficult to make an exchange with. After 1 month of trying to contact via email or, their preferred, phone call, for return code, I gave away the wrong mugs and purchased the ones I wanted. That is my last time for le creuset.
