Elegant Executive Leather Messenger

This Executive Leather Messenger (Large) from Waterfield is beautiful and extremely functional. I searched a dozen bags before deciding to purchase this one, and couldn’t be more pleased. Although I have one suggestion, I wish the shoulder strap was removable so it could be used as a hand carry brief at times. Otherwise, it’s perfect!

First excutive bag, and it's a home run!

It am an IT executive who made his way through the ranks. I had always used a 'function-over-form' bag, and I never let go of that look. I decided I wanted to move towards a bag the looks and feels more professional, now that I spend more time in boardrooms and less time in data centers. This bag is gorgeous, inside and out. I can't wait for the leather to patina over time. It fits my laptop and tablet perfectly, along with the other work items I need to bring with me. The price more than justifies the quality of build and the elegance that this bag brings.

Worth The Agonising Wait

I swear I must have hovered around this bag for almost two years, trying to convince myself I could justify spending the price tag (also read as: it never goes on sale, don’t bother waiting). I finally made the jump, and man - my gut feeling was right, it’s exactly what I was after. Perfect size, fantastic quality and appearance… the compact is amazing for mainly just daily laptop carrying. If you want a bag you’re going to feel great about as you grab it every single morning, just spend the extra and skip whatever you’re comparing this to.

CARING FOR YOUR LEATHER BAG

We usually recommend not doing anything to the full-grain leather of your bag, letting it develop it's own beautiful patina over time. However, you may want to freshen it up a bit with a leather conditioner. The leather may darken a bit, so test the reaction first on a spot that's not highly visible, like the bottom of the bag. For the distressed leather that we use, you can also spread the oils around and smooth them out a bit with heat from a hair dryer.
