  • We recommend choosing a weighted blanket that’s around 10% of your overall body weight. If you’re in between weights, it’s best to round down to the lighter weight, especially if this is your first time trying a weighted blanket!

  • We recommend using the Napper for less than 2 hours during the first three days and gradually increasing the usage until you build up to a full night’s rest. After around ten days, you should begin to experience the benefits of restorative rest.

  • Unlike conventional weighted blankets, our Nappers are weighted with layer upon layer of sustainable fabric — no artificial fillers or plastic pellets. The hand-knitted design distributes weight evenly and allows air to circulate through the night!

  • You can machine wash your Napper separately in cool water on a delicate cycle. After washing, tumble dry your Napper on low – it may take a few cycles to fully dry. Check your machine’s weight capacity before washing, and avoid top-loading machines.

Perfect for distance running recovery — finally getting deep sleep
This weighted blanket definitely helps me fall asleep faster, but it's more than that: it actually helps me sleep deeper. I've been distance running for decades, and had pretty much resigned myself to getting rubbish sleep after long runs. Every time I build up my mileage gearing up for another race, my sleep suffers. It's a common story for runners ... I find it harder to fall asleep and wake up more during the night, and I find that I need extra hours in bed to make up for it.Now that I've added the Bearaby weighted blanket to my sleep routine, I feel much more rested. In fact, I can literally see on my whoop sleep tracker that I'm getting 30% more deep sleep than I used to after run days. I knew the science behind weighted blankets was legit before I bought this one, but I didn't realize just how drastic the positive impact would be. In case other runners might be curious, I've also found that the weighted blanket is useful for recovery outside of sleep. After I cool down with stretches and an ice bath, I head straight to the couch and drape the weighted blanket across my legs and lap. The pressure feels amazing on my muscles!

    But be aware to get the correct size. I ordered the 20lb one seeing that the size was larger than the 15lb and thinking the extra weight was mostly in the larger size. Nope. The 20lb one is much denser and it was too heavy for me.

    20lb blanket = 1lb per 162 sq. inches = best for 175+ lb
    15lb blanket = 1lb per 192 sq. inches = best for 125 - 175lb
    10lb blanket = 1lb per 256 sq. inches = best for under 125lb

    I wanted to upgrade our weighted blanket setup since we have cats and their nails don't match with the weighted blankets filled with beads.

    Found out about these through the Purple store and bought them from Amazon (because Amazon). These do not have beads, but rather rely on just fabric weight (perfect for cats). Very nicely weighted out and stretchy, we use two for a king sized bed.

    Biggest complaint is the expensive up front cost (I spent over $500 on two), but I feel like they should last a good long while, especially since they aren't filled with beads. Another minor complaint is since we have cat hair, it is a little more challenging to get the hair out of the crevices, but hasn't been too bad comparatively speaking.

    More so an investment for a better night of sleep, because these things do a great job of being a weighted blanket and I sleep fantastic now.

    I thought that the other one star reviews were just people being unreasonable, but once I got my blanket I saw why people aren't have positive experiences with this product. First off, the blanket does not look like what's posted in the pictures Second, this is not a high quality product. I see why people where having issues with these blankets falling apart. I have gotten better weighted blankets for a fraction of the price at target. And third, it smells, like mold or mildew. Certainly not something you want to sleep in.
