Technical Overview
The Abound ships as a Class II ebike, with pedal assist and throttle. The Abound will also operate with the throttle unplugged and removed, should you want to ride in an area where throttles are prohibited. Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it's OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won't be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain, be submerged, or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don't use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike. *Max range determined using PAS 1 throughout flat terrain with a rider weight of 160 lb.

Yes. The Aventon Suspension Seatpost is compatible with most Aventon ebike models, including the Aventon Abound.
Yes. The Aventon Abound kickstand can easily be replaced by removing the four bolts on the bottom of the kickstand but only the stock Aventon kickstand is compatible.

Yes. Class 1 ebikes are pedal-assist only, meaning they have no throttle. By removing the throttle on your Aventon ebike, you can configure a class 2 to a class 1 ebike for trail use.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.
Some Aventon models, such as the Level 2, Abound, Sinch 2, & Aventure 2, come with pre-installed fenders and a rear rack. Additional accessories are available for purchase. Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Abound panniers teaming up with DrySpec

I was looking for an option to have panniers that are 100% waterproof and easily cleaned from mud. I looked to the motorcycle off road community and found a pannier and cargo bag line DrySpec. After reviewing the product line and specifications I was able to determine that the attachments were compatible with the Abound frame. I know have a fantastic option that fits the bike providing greater versatility and even the colors matches the Sage green.

Best bike for the price.

Bike rides super well. For the price, it gives a lot of value, utility, and power. I really wish it could up to 28 mph, though. My average speed is 15 mph, but I occasionally need to go 25 mph to keep up with the flow of traffic. It becomes a road hazard if you have to squeeze on the side of the road to avoid having a line of vehicles behind you.

Abound Cargo Bike

Very happy with Aventon’s Abound cargo bike. No issues After About 200+ miles .
This bike is very sturdy , when going over bumps it doesn’t rattle like other bikes. It handles well for a cargo bike .
I had a Trek cargo ebike and the abound is much better for a lot less money.
The Abound hauls my **** **** (270 lbs)up hills At 20 mph without slowing down , only the steepest hills Slow it to 18 or 19 mph.
