Great for the price

Great for the price
I've had this hot tub about 5 months now. It works well, and I use it frequently for back pain. Initial set up was easy and it fills and drains quickly. For the price, it's a great way to test the waters before purchasing a larger, more permanent hot tub structure. I love mine!TEMP CONTROL:You can control the temp on this unit. As others mention, it will lose heat when you run the bubbles and it will not be able to increase heat with the cover off. I bought an Alavantor bubble tent (ASIN B07YZ2KTTJ; recommend at least 12ft; 10 works but it's a tight fit) to put around it in the winter time and that helped it maintain heat significantly as well as allowed me to use it in the cold (lows in the teens where I live). Just make sure you consider ventilation so you don't gas yourself out if you choose to go that route. I also put up a shade sail and turned the heat function off for a way to stay cool this summer. A little shade and an initial addition of a few bags of ice, and I was easily able to keep the temp around 90/91 when ambient temp was 100+. Running the bubbles even when the heat is off feels amazing.CHEMICALS:Ok so here's the deal. You need to do some serious research about maintenance and chemicals before buying this if you've never owned one before. There's a choice of bromine vs. chlorine. Then you've got ph up, ph down, shock, balancers, foam control, testing strips, etc. It feels a little like becoming a full-time chemist. I did a ton of research ahead of time because I had a bad time with a quick set pool last year and had everything on hand before this even arrived. Now you can manually maintain all the chemicals mentioned above yourself and that's totally fine. Let me tell you though that I got the Spa Frog @Ease system (ASIN B08NK9DSQS) and it has made it so easy for me to keep everything balanced and perfect all the time. It costs a little more, but totally worth it in my opinion. The little scumbug that comes with the quarterly kit is good at reducing the "oil slick" that will eventually come from body oils, sweat, etc. I was even able to leave for a week vacation and came back with everything perfectly in balance still.CLEANING:I was totally unprepared for this aspect in some respects. It's probably not bad if you're putting your hot tub under a covered patio or indoors. Mine is at the back of my yard exposed to the elements. Considering that, it's done really well but I wind up draining it completely, fully cleaning, and refilling about once a month. I think the manual says quarterly will suffice, but I personally can't stand to sit in a small vat of water with tiny little critters (too small for pool nets) floating around me. I'm also probably excessively concerned with not letting anything even try to grow (look up hot tub diseases and what is capable of growing in there). It takes me about 2 hours to clean it inside and out using Clorox/ Lysol wipes (about 1 large can), a washcloth, and several clean buckets of water. So far that seems to do a good job. I strongly recommend taking apart the floating cover and cleaning that thoroughly as well. There are a ton of seams on the inside and it can get gross quickly if you're not on top of it regularly.TOTAL COST TO OWN:This will vary depending on what you choose for chemicals, maintenance, and what your local utilities cost. I can only speak for myself living in the midwest US. I keep it running at all times (heat @ 104 all winter and spring; filter running 24/7). I only noticed about a $25/ month increase in my electric bill (probably helped that I had a dome over it when it was less than 60 degrees) and about $10 increase in my water bill (considering I drain every month). Filters run me about $5 a week and the chemicals I chose average about $35/ month. So about $100 per month in recurring costs for me.The above are my personal opinions and unpaid recommendations.

I’ve been wanting a hot tub for years, but I’m limited by money and space. My options were few until someone suggested I consider a Coleman inflatable hot tub. At first I was reluctant because I was being a classist jerk and was thought I’d be buying something that would end up in a landfill within a year. This might still price to be the case, but one month in and I am very pleased with my purchase.

So who’s this product for? People who will mostly be hot-tubbing alone, people who don’t have a whole lot of space, people who prefer low maintenance, and people who are not prepared to spend $10k for a good hot tub.

Who’s this product NOT for? Large families, people who’ve got the space and the funds for a large hot tub. If that’s you, you’re probably not reading this.

So, if you’re considering purchasing an inflatable hot tub, I hope this review will help you make a decision. So far it seems like the right decision for me.

    Pros:
    1. Easy set up.
    2. At 6’ by 6’, it fits nicely on my patio.
    3. It’s perfect for one, okay for two, three is pushing it. Unless y’all want to touch each other’s legs and feet.
    4. Easy maintenance, so far.
    5. It’s quiet when the bubbles aren’t on.
    6. The bubbles are great!
    7. It seems sturdy and is holding its air well, though I know I will have to reinflate it from time to time.
    8. It’s portable. Which will only matter to me when I move.

    Cons:
    1. Horrible assembly directions. Find a video and follow that.
    2. It’s not a $12k hot tub. So there are few (no) bells and whistles. No seats or benches or massagers or built-in espresso machines — just a hot bath with relaxing bubbles.
    3. Like I said before, it’s for one or two people, not 3-4. At least not 3-4 fully-grown men.

So, let’s be realistic snout value for money. At this price ($599 in May 2022), if you’re looking for a hot tub and you’re willing to consider an inflatable spa, it’s really hard to imagine doing any better than this. If you’re on the fence, I’ll save you some time: go for it! I bought the square one.

Set-up was relatively easy, but I'll warn you in advance the so-called manual is not good. Check out some YouTube videos before you proceed. They did a great job explaining what to do. There is some maintenance in maintaining clear water, but it's fairly easy once you get into a routine.

We have purchased two of these hot tubs. The first one was in February 2023 and the second was for our son for his 40 year birthday in Aug 2023. We have told everyone how happy we are with it until we wanted to clean it for the second time and realized there was water inside the walls and air was no longer staying to fill it up. We noticed the water being lost in the 8 month but thought it was natural from the warm dry days.
We keep the tub closed when not in use.
The problem is coming from 2 small valves inside the tub that look like small plastic straws. This flaw is also all over you tube on how to fix the problem with silicone because the company will not honor the product. One video shows the valves deteriorate when touched.
I am hoping our son doesn't have the same issues as we are already out 600.00 for ours alone.
Spoke to customer service twice but you won't get any help from them. There should be a recall as we are definitely not the only customer with this problem.
We are truly disappointed as we have been purchasing Coleman products for at least 45 years. We still have and use the Colman stove we purchased for our wedding camp trip.
Anyway we do not recommend you buy this unless you want to be out of a hot tub and your money!
Seriously sad..we use to love and trust Coleman products. Done buying them. Only chose one star cause they make you chose one.

So this is an updated review. The pumps on theses hot tubs are in recall. My son received his but I have been going through total harassment to get mine. It has been three months of emails ,calls. Sending proof of purchase and pictures of my pumps. Also changing the numbers on the pump because they make you do that and send a picture. So three times! Also they want you to take a picture showing you cut your cord. For that and unfortunately I have not been able to use my 600.00 hot tub in months! I filed a complaint with the consumer protection agency. It’s been total harassment from this company! It’s not my recall! I just want to use the product I paid for. I wish I never did. It’s been awful!
Please do NOT buy this product!’
