Bought this to extend the capabilities of my Centurylink DSL network. Easy to set up and deploy. Two nodes supply great wifi coverage to our 2500 sq foot home and outdoor patio areas. Could not be happier.

I've been using this Mesh system now for a couple of weeks and so far so good. It was not too hard to setup however I do agree with other reviewers that it is lacking good instruction especially in the area of fine tuning it and using the security features that come with the XT8. Now the good stuff. The coverage for my home has improved greatly over my previous Router with no more dead spots throughout the house and well into both the front and back yards. So far the speed has also been very good using the wireless Backhaul set up. I recently had fiber installed with a 600Mbps plan and on my smart phone, depending on time of day and where in the house I am, I'm consistantly getting between 400 Mbps and 560 Mbps down and 260 to 400+ Mbps up. Other devices will vary but overall the speed has been impressive. I did decide to do a clean install by creating a new network name and password and of course this meant having to hook all clients up to this. Definetly would have been easier keeping the same network name and password as the previous router but I'd been using it for a few years so for security reasons changed it. One nice plus is I just set up the one network not a seperate 2.4G and 5G network and let the Asus XT8 decide which band to use for each client. So far no issues especially with a couple of my older 2.4G only clients finding the correct band to use. Lots of options still to explore and longevity to test so I give this setup a solid 4.5 rating and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Worked well all over the house. Wired to modem is 40/10 Lowest reading from all rooms in the house was 35/10 (3500 sq feet) Pretty easy to install. Hardest update was google ring devices Those had to be removed and reinstalled

System would not stop dropping nodes. After installing the app and following directions to the letter, half of the nodes refused to stay connected even after they were wired by ethernet throughout the house.

I purchased 2 brand new factory sealed ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8 2Pk). The units work fine and were reasonably easy to setup. I registered both products but the warranty dates were messed up. One was for only 4 months and the other less than a year. I was told they were 2 year warranties.

I purchased this product based on several reviews I read. When I received the routers I followed the instructions to set top the routers. All was good except the router would not deliver more than 80 mb/s. I then spent 2 hours on the phone with a technical rep. from your company trying to get the router speed to increase but was not able to solve the problem. I do have another router which works at over 300 mb/s. subsequently I sent the router back.

Upgraded from an Orbi RBR/RBS40. It's been nearly 2 months since we upgraded and so far the two XT8s have been great. The user interface is good and fairly simple, yet really deep in capabilities and visibility. Our network stability has been solid so far, and has provided better coverage. Most importantly, a lot more of our devices are able to connect to the ASUS. Previously with the Orbi, I was unable to connect my home theater receiver and various high-end audio equipment.

Typically, the coverage of this ZenWIFI is up to 5500 sq. ft. If you are loosing connection with the nodes, please verify if the PC or device connecting to the routers is working properly and within range to the router, the router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired with a network cable, Check if your ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. Additionally, place the router in the center of the area you want to cover, avoid placing the router near metal objects, electronic devices or direct sunlight, position the router on a flat, hard surface and halfway between the floor and ceiling. Additionally, dense building materials, such as gypsum, concrete walls and planks can affect Wi-Fi signal penetration. Also, we recommend updating the Mesh router firmware if it is running with an older version. Setup was not bad at all. Coverage in the house has been disappointing. Not much better than my cable providers basic unit. The size of my house is well below what you advertise so that makes it doubly disappointing.
