It works for what we need it to do. Because of the new COVID variants, we are following CDC guidelines as essential workers and double masking to protect ourselves from people who still think it's a hoax 🙄 (despite over half a million lost American lives), and to protect others from anything we might be carrying asymptomatically while we go about doing our jobs. These 3 ply masks are a great value for price and convenient to order from Amazon. We use them under our cloth mask to provide extra protection for ourselves and our customers. These are 3 ply masks and that is what the CDC recommends for these types of masks. They are comfortable and lightweight.A 3 ply mask with a tight fitting cloth mask over it is 95% effective against virus transmission. N95 masks are 99% effective, but you can't find them anywhere to buy. KN95s also work but the earloops need to be hacked if not tight fitting enough.Google the Mask Hack to learn how to make these regular 3 ply masks tighter fitting so it's more effective and yet still comfortable.

That's concerning because when we breathe the air is moist. The mask fit loosely on my face both because the earloops are large. But that can be accomodated by looping and knotting the earloops. The layers of mask are noticeably much thinner than other masks I've worn.
