This is my third order from Jambys, and I will be the first to tell you this latest offering is by far their best, in terms of quality, comfort, fit, and aesthetics. The pockets, my favorite feature, have become an integral component in my post-work lounge attire. The quality of fabric is outstanding, and the waistband doesn’t dig into your hips and/or gut like lesser brands tend to do. I would recommend this product to almost everyone, except thieves, murderers, and vandals.

    These are my favorite comfy shorts I’ve ever found. These are literally all I wear around my house and to sleep in. The fabric is perfect, the pockets never let anything fall out, they’re like the perfect length. Love love love them.
    As far as sizing, I have some L and some XL. L is more my size based on their size chart, but I like XL too. XL are a little big baggy but I prefer the XL size waistband when I’m on my period and my belly feels bloated/doesn’t want a waistband hugging it, so I have both sizes. But I also carry a lot of weight in my stomach, so if you don’t have a bigger belly your size recommended by the size chart is probably fine.

    I have seen ads for jambys on my instagram for the longest time and then I got a pair of the jambys pants as a vine user. I was so massively impressed with the pants that I got the shorts.

    The shorts and the pants are like wearing liquid. They flow with you and stretch as you need it to. The waistband is super soft and theres a drawstring if you want them super secure, but the waistband fits perfectly for me.

    The pockets are incredibly deep. Theres no back pocket, if thats a dealbreaker.

    But I’m someone who is really particular about what I sleep in because i hate when things get twisted around me. These don’t give me that problem. They’re so soft.

    The hubby bought these to sleep in. They are soft, he says they’re comfortable, they seem to breathe well and appear decently made. I’ve never understood the point of a double layer fly/flap that’s sewn closed on an undergarment (serves no purpose) and I hope they hold up over time, but for now good enough to warrant purchasing a second pair.

    So my husband now has the shorts in 4 different colors and he swears they are the softest shorts he owns. Like when he comes home from work they are the first things he puts on and he stays in them all night.     Let me start off by saying I’m a big guy with a belly and these seem to be engineered more for a lanky, anorexic waif. The fit is off for me and I don’t know that I can overcome it.

    Pros:
    • That fabric is amazing. Incredibly soft and stretchy. When the big dog wants to come out and sniff around, there’s absolutely no binding or discomfort. Big plus.
    • Cool. It’s hot where I live and to avoid $600 electric bills, I’ve been adjusting the A/C warmer, so I want clothing that is light and not hot. Except for an extra panel of fabric in front, these are great. They’re cool and breezy all around and the boys appreciate not having to live in the swamp.
    • The pocket is big enough for my heavy iPhone 14 ProMax and the drawers don’t droop.
    • Did I mention the fabric? Because I can’t get over the fabric.

    Cons:
    • The overall fit for my size is way off. First, they’re too loose. I like loose, but this is way too much for me.
    • If I wear these on my hips, the length is about where I like them, but the crotch is way too long. I like my boys to be gently nestled and that doesn’t happen. I can roll the waistband and that helps some, but then the overall length is a little short. If I pull them up high water on my waist, that’s also better, but then the waistband is tight and uncomfortable.
    • There’s a weird extra panel of fabric in front that I think may be there to add support for the pockets. At first I thought that was part of the “no crotch-flash technology” but it’s not deep enough to provide any actual crotchal coverage. Because it’s two layers, it’s a bit warmer there than everywhere else. Why is that panel there?
    • About that aforementioned no crotch flash… because of the looseness, if I do much manspreading I could be ticketed for indecent exposure fairly easily. Hello everybody, take a look!

    For thirty five bucks, I wanted these to be so incredible I’d gladly rush back to give them all my money so I could wear a pair every day of my life. For me, I’m not sure I can overcome the problems with the fit. I may return these for a smaller size (I ordered what I always wear, and what made sense from the size chart, XL), to see if a Large is less loose and shorter in the crotch, but then I fear the waistband will be uncomfortably tight. If there was a low rise option these would probably be a 9/10. As it is, they’re a 4 or maybe 5. Meh.
