Back pain
2 out of 5 stars
Emma - 10 months ago, Verified purchaser
My baby sometimes cries when I put him in but most of the time he doesn’t. It’s easy for me to put on but it absolutely kills my back after. I’m just 22 years old and never have had back problems. Now just after using it one day, my back is hurting where I cant even stand holding my baby in my arms for long.

This carrier was the most complicated carrier for me. I’m 5ft so it didn’t really work out for me and I wasn’t sure if the baby was comfortable or not as for my husband it was comfortable and his 5’11 but like I said wasn’t sure if baby was comfortable AND so complicated to put on and take off

I bought the Ergobaby Omni 360 the day before we took a family trip to the zoo and although on the pricier side, it was a well-worth-it splurge. I was previously using the sollybaby wrap and although it says it fits babies up to 25 pounds, It did not work for me past the 10lb mark - I always felt the need to readjust. I love the fact that this carrier offers multiple positions (I have only tried the front and rear facing so far) and the fact it TRULY has lumbar support. I barely felt like I was carrying my 7-month-old for 5+ hours! Only complaint is that if baby is exclusively wearing a onesie and/or shorts, it does slightly rub on the inner part of their thighs while front facing. Also, I have washed it several times (we have a drooling teether on our hands) and it hasn't frayed or lost its texture!

I give it 3 just because it’s time consuming to put on and also not enough back support , I wish it could’ve been a little more convenient on that bc it’s really pretty to wear

As someone that has frequent back pain this carrier only made it worse. The top strap just didn’t have the support I needed it just kind of hung loosely at it’s tightest & I don’t believe I have a small frame. I do think the straps are also impractical when strapping in with no assistance. That being said, my 6 month old was very comfortable in this carrier. I just couldn’t bear the weight of carrying him without the (very much needed) upper back support. I tested the baby bjorn in store and will ultimately be purchasing as a replacement. I’ve used other carriers that seem to offer the support I need at a much lower price point but I wanted something with longevity that would last into his toddler stage.

Super comfy for my 6 month old. It supports her well although the only problem i have with this carrier is buckling and unbuckling the shoulder straps with her in it. I always need help getting it on or off safely because its so hard to reach.

Aesthetically I find these contraptions to be unappealing (except for a certain $700 option). This one is ugly, yet awesome! My 5 month old loves it. She can look around at the world and it’s comfortable for both of us. I can wash bottles and fold clothes while she is entertained by the simple acts. Of course it’s a little warm, but there’s a baby strapped on you. It’s great for the parent and very fun for the baby.

My baby and I both

My baby and I both LOVE my Ergobaby carrier. I have tried other carriers and they do not compare. This carrier actually keeps my baby comfy and does not hurt my back! I have taken baby hiking for hours and still did not hurt my back. It is also so much easier getting baby in and out that it was in other carriers which is super helpful when I don’t have someone around to help me get baby in and out.

My ergo baby was purchased off my registry and we just opened it only to find it was already used!!! There are multiple oil stains on the carrier and opened bags in the new box packaging. This is the second target item that arrived with what looks like wear and tear. I’m very confused as to how this is even possible. Requesting a replacement and explanation.

Using the Ergo Unknowingly Treated my Baby’s Hip Dysplasia
5 out of 5 stars
Rebecca S. - 3 years ago
originally posted on Ergobaby
I received the carrier as a gift. My daughter was born breech, and the doctors had concerns that her hips were not developing properly in their sockets. She had an ultrasound at 9 days old, we were told to double diaper her and come back for a follow up. At 8 weeks, we were told her hips had “fixed themselves” and we didn’t need to worry anymore. Meanwhile, as our baby grew we learned that she loved being in the Ergo. It would have often calm her when she was fussy, and put her to sleep. We used it almost constantly for quite sometime. Fast forward to her 9mo well appointment and the doctor ordered a final X-ray to follow up on her hips. Her left hip showed mild hip dysplasia, so off we went to the children orthopedics specialist at UVA. The specialist was dumbfounded. The radiologist who told us her hips were normal at 8 weeks was wildly incorrect. Turns out Imogene should have been placed in a Pavlock harness to correct her hips as a newborn. And yet, based on the X-ray at 9mo her right hip was miraculously normal and her left hip showed only mild, and quite treatable hip dysplasia. The doctor said it was nothing short of a miracle that we had arrived at this X-ray after seeing her 8weeks images. She asked if we used a carrier frequently, and we said yes, we used the ergo almost constantly before she was able to crawl around on her own. She said in using the ergo we had unknowingly braced her hips in the correct position and ultimately prevented the dislocated hips and the need for surgery that was expected based on that 8wo ultrasound. I want to thank you so much for your product that not only comforted my baby, but seemed to treat her as well. This product truly does hold baby in the proper position for healthy development.

Much better than the Onya! We had the Onya first but when we tried to put our baby forward-facing, it was very uncomfortable. We decided to try the ergo and it works perfectly! Very comfortable and supportive.

I love this carrier. It keeps baby comfortable and cool. Is extremely comfortable with the padded shoulder straps for whichever parent is wearing the baby. It's a perfect baby wearing piece. We adored using it.

Finally a carrier that combines back support, utility, and a great pattern—one that both dad and mom can enjoy. My only complaint is it’s difficult to adjust the fit, so if you alternate between adults carrying it can be cumbersome. Once the straps are set though, it’s easy to get in without an extra set of hands.
