- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 April 2025An amazing audio book which provided so much insight into how attachment can have both positive and negative implications. As a teacher, this was incredibly helpful but I believe everyone would benefit from this understanding.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 January 2025Just finished reading this and found it brilliant. The author does such a good job of tackling a deep, complex subject. So informative and well written! Definitely recommending this to friends

I rearly feel moved enough to write reviews but this book makes you realise how we are emotionally damaged by our parents and how we emotionally damage our children and in turn relate in unhelpful and unhealthy ways to our romantic partners.
With no understanding of why, because we don’t and are not encouraged to interrogate or self reflect on our upbringing and our behaviours, this book outlines the cycle of trauma bonds and inter generational trauma and how only with understanding exactly this will we be able to create a better future for the mental health of our children. So important as part of the current conversations we see amongst our daughters who are placing healthy boundaries on the unhealthy societal and cultural expectations of them as partners, wives and mothers, and equally so for our sons in their unhealthy and mentally damaging conditioning of what it means to be men, husbands and fathers.
And far more significantly in the coming age of A.I. where everything promises to be outsourced, even relationships, we need to truly understand that to be fully human in an emotionally healthy way means that we have to be able to emotionally relate to, connect with and support each other.
It brings so much hope through understanding.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 September 2023I have just finished listening to Please Find Attached after having it downloaded to my phone less than a week ago. What a thorough, informative, gripping, interesting and entertaining book.
I really enjoyed how the author wove the stories of the interviewees together through the book — those parts are as engaging and emotional as any novel I've read in a while — while intertwining them with a really accessible narrative of attachment research.
I'd heard a little about 'attachment' before this, but not much more than knowing that it was a thing and that, roughly, it's something that can help us know more about ourselves and the way re behave in life and in relationships. But I feel enlightened now, and can't stop thinking about my childhood, about my past and present relationships, about how I bring up and react to my children, and all the same things about my friends.
Enough from me. Just download it right now! This so excellent and impressive — it should be a compulsory listen.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 September 2023All I can say is "wow!" - I'm more than half way through and absolutely enthralled by this book. This is such a joy to listen to. The narration and writing are expertly done! The way Laura Mucha has weaved together everyday people's stories with theory is engaging, enlightening and makes you reflect on your own experiences and relationships.
I've already shared this book with my parents as well as my partner. I encourage everyone to listen to it-considering everyone navigates relationships in their lives I feel like there's something for everyone in this book!!
