Just buy it, check the pics.Pic 1 is how it arrives (bleh)Pic 2 is after 20 mins @170°FPic 3 is after 24 hours refrigerating(Don't skip the chill or it reconstitutes weird)I've bought this dozens of times and it's never a homogeneous mixture, from stores or online... Once it evenly liquefies and chills then you end up with a spectacular balm that stays put and isn't too oily or thick.Idk what makes that weird texture but it's not ruined and still definitely worth the time to prep. Beats the pants off all the other balms with a bearded guy on the lid.

The applicator bottle for the beard oil is good, tiny hole for dispensing the oil, if you were to knock it over, you could probably grab it before it made a huge mess unlike some other bottles. Scent is a very personal opinion, and in my opinion its okay, but not great. I believe the scent is suppose to be 'redwood'. My wife recognized something new, and I think guessed gingerbread, so maybe not that close to redwood. overall a decent product, kind of pricey like most all of the competitors in this space, and for me not my favorite.
