Just like you remember at that old fashion restaurant as a kid. This is a great small gift to give on the side with a card or on your desk for a mental break. Simple to play, harder to master.

I love this little peg puzzle! The triangular board is a nice chunk of finished wood. The plastic pegs (5 each of red, yellow and blue) fit easily into their holes and come out just as easily. With the pegs in place, board and pegs go snugly into the little cardboard box that they came in for easy storage and portability. With all this going for it, why did I give this puzzle 4 stars instead of 5? The peg holes are not quite in alignment. The misalignment is not severe and does not detract from the enjoyment of the puzzle. When you hold the board up to eye level with the pegs in place and turn the board slowly, you can see that here and there a peg has stepped out of line from its confreres. This is somewhat annoying aesthetically but not decisive against it. I suspect that the misaligned peg holes were deliberate, because if they were perfectly aligned, there would be holes in the text printed on the board. So you gain something and you lose something.

Now for the real reason I bought this puzzle. It's not just a puzzle! You can have a very satisfying, short, 2-player game with this equipment. The game is called called Nimbi.
    Here are the rules:

    1. With all 15 pegs in place on the board out of the box, remove the 3 corner pegs. Nimbi is played with 12 pegs.
    2. Decide who goes first.
    3. On your turn you may remove 1, 2, 3 or 4 pegs.
    4. If you remove more than 1 peg, they must TOUCH each other in a STRAIGHT LINE as they rest on the board. In other words, you cannot remove pegs in a straight line if there are ANY holes or ANY pegs (remaining on the board) between them.
    5. The object of the game is to leave your opponent with the last peg on the board. In other words the player who takes the last peg loses. Alternatively, the player who takes the last peg wins.

    That's it! Enjoy!
