I haven’t used it yet because I just received product, but I can tell you what is irritating. For one, it would have been nice to know exactly how much ice cream I can make since people bought pint containers and this product holds two scoops of ice cream, maybe three. The second thing that irritates me is that I cannot use it while plugged in so now I have to remember to charge it before I use it in case it does not hold the charge not being used. Yes, I know it’s trivial LOL, but that is not the point for a product that you pay this price for. On the plus side so far, it is cute and nicely packaged. I do not eat a lot of ice cream so this might be perfect and could possibly save me some money. Not to mention I’ll get soft serve instead of hard ice cream I have to wait to thaw out a little from store bought items. I will update when I use product.

    Update:
I did not need to wait 24 hours to use this product. I waited a few hours and within less than 10 minutes, I had ice cream. There is plenty of ice cream for one helping. As soon as the liquid hit the bowl, the liquid started to solidify. In the long run it is pretty neat and does the job. Still left one star off for the things I didn’t like.

They tell u to freeze the cup, freeze the cream mixture 1hour before but if you do,after u pour it in, the frozen edges block the churner and doesn’t work.

First impressions are that this is well built, pretty heavy duty and a lot of care and thought went in to the packaging what with the insulated carry case and all. I admit that I read the other reviews before writing this review and while I concur with some of the negatives, (it's a fair amount of work for not so much ice cream and you need to basically prep the day before) for a home ice cream machine this is the best. If you have one or have used one in the past, you are familiar with those limitations. We have a family sized ice cream machine, the "cold can" is always stored in the freezer and knowing that it's there (seeing it every time I open the freezer), we make ice cream about 4-5 times a year. The family sized machine makes about 4 - 6 servings and being that the machine works best filled to the line, that is more than what my wife and I should eat. Homemade ice cream generally doesn't freeze well and is best eaten immediately or after a short spell in the freezer to firm it up. Too long in the freezer and it seems to become a big frozen nugget of expensive milk (my theory is that commercial ice cream has gum products in it to keep it smooth during the deep freeze it is passed through).

This machine has a higher ratio of cold can to product capacity and so it cools your mixture very quickly. I always pre-chill my mix but I suspect the volume of this machine will even cool off a slightly warm custard base. That will be my next experiment. To summarize: this is a really good unit, it works well, keep it charged, keep the base in the freezer, make and eat ice cream regularly.

Have tried a number of times and it just doesn’t work. Followed their recipes numerous times. Just mixes up the ingredients at that’s it…I have even placed ingredients in freezer like suggested.

Since it is starting to get hotter and hotter, we finally cracked our ice cream maker out and tried it and it works great. We tried our ice cream with lactose, free milk and some crumbled up Oreos and it was the best cookies and cream I have had in a long long time. Plus, it’s way cheaper than buying a gallon or half gallons somewhere nowadays. This ice cream maker works very well. The one time I messed up was not putting the canister in the freezer but we tried it again and it was marvelous! Very easy to use and clean.

This is a review of Cocinare KRUSH Ice Cream Maker, Wireless & Portable, Sorbet Gelato Maker, Frozen Yogurt Machine for Homemade & Outdoor, Blue

Does it make ice cream? Yes. But it's more work than it's worth in my opinion... and expensive.

The motor unit charges via a USB-C cable which is included. However during charging there is no LED indicator that charging is taking place or that charging is finished. You just have to plug it in for a few hours and then assume it is charged. That's not very user friendly. You don't have any indication of what level of charge is left in the battery either.

So a simple recipe for ice cream would be,
-100g of fruit of some sort (I used frozen bananas)
    -20g of sugar
    -20g of milk
-70g of cream (I used half and half)

But here's the deal, you are supposed to pre-blend the ingredients in a blender or food processor of some sort. This is supposed to be convenient. Is that convenient? I used an immersion blender.

Guess what? After adding the ingredients and using frozen bananas as my fruit, the mixture became ice cream without even needing this Cocinare contraption because the bananas were already frozen and the milk and half & half were very cold from the refrigerator. The immersion blender combined and smoothed everything into creamy, cold ice cream.

So even though I already had ice cream, I then scraped the mixture (using a silicone spatula) into the pre-frozen Cocinare mixing bowl. I attached the operating window and locked in into place. I then inserted the motor with attached mixing rod into the mixture. I made sure the motor was sitting properly on the operating window by aligning it with the slots. I pushed the on/off button and the motor started turning the paddle. It immediately caused the motor to rise up and out of the mixture, the light started flashing red and I manually stopped the motor. I put the motor back on the operating window and pushed the on button again and the thing did the same thing. For the third attempt I had to hold the motor down so it wouldn't rise out of the operating window again for about a minute. I could hear the motor straining but It seemed to be churning the ice cream without further incident.

When the process concluded I remove the motor assembly and tediously had to scrape accumulated ice cream off the paddle. Then I scooped ice cream out of the container and enjoyed it.

The ice cream was good. But the process to create such a small amount of ice cream was not worth the effort since I already had ice cream simply by using my immersion blender.

Now let me turn some attention to the Membership offer for the Cocinare App. In the box is a Membership Card that prompts you to download the Cocinare app. You get a small number of free smoothie recipes but otherwise wow, what a complete joke and rip-off the app is. You get a 30-day free trial of the 500+ recipes the app supposedly has. After that you have to subscribe to the app on a monthly or annual basis to continue having access to the extra recipes. And how much does that cost? It's very pricey If you want scores of smoothie recipes, you'll hit the jackpot. Unfortunately this gizmo doesn't make smoothies, it makes ice cream, sorbet or gelato. Ridiculous that you have to subscribe annually for a fairly significant amount to access recipes. Pro tip, use Google to search for ice cream recipes for free...
