Great lightweight, stable poles. Will do the trick for any conditions. Assembly is intuitive, so no issue there from my perspective, just look at the lock and unlock knob on it. They will handle hiking/trekking, are durable, however if you are going to be going to putting alot of body wieght on it, then more research may be needed. However, very happy with the purchase and no issues
