Soft Empire Carryall Bag 40

I went into Coach to purchase a wallet as a gift for a colleague. And then I saw this. The love between us was immediate. The burnished Honey tone is elegant and serene - The perfect neutral. I looked at it a few times during my wallet purchase and asked a few questions. My biggest concern was whether it could fit a 14" laptop. My heart sunk when the sales rep said she wasn't sure. Since I was also getting a bag cleaned*, it gave me time to do some research as I waited. Thank you everyone who mentioned they got their laptops in this bag - A Mac Book Pro 13, 14 & 15" fit. You can now add a Lenovo 14S to the list as well which is a common PC in Corporate America. The laptop fit without having to adjust the gussets and I was able to close the bag without issue. In addition to the Laptop, I was able to fit a mouse, a smaller 5x7 zip bag with miscellaneous items, 2 iPhones, a 5x9 book, three file folders, a Coach Wallet, (mine, not the gift) sunglasses and had room to spare. Bear in mind this review is being written and I have not owned the bag for a day. I say this because leather "breaks in" and you may be able to fit more in this bag over time. That's a win. I am so happy I made this purchase because I know I will use this bag for work and play. The Birken inspired shape is beautiful and it pairs well with dresses or your favorite jeans. It's EXTREMELY WELL MADE and worth the price and then some. I've researched similar bags from LV, Gucci, and NONE have come close to the quality, construction and value. This bag rivals a Studio Bag from Salvatore Ferragamo, but that will run you 6-7X MORE. (*) Coach provides lifetime mantenance on your purchases like cleaning and repair at no cost. I've never used the service until now and it's amazing. I'll make sure my beautiful Empire is well cared for by the Coach team in the future.
