Purchase options and add-ons

  • REVOLUTIONARY PEE FUNNEL: The Freshette is a revolutionary female urinary device (also known as a pee funnel), specifically designed for outdoor enthusiasts, travelers and those with disabilities. Ensures freedom to "go" - standing or sitting - wherever and whenever nature calls. Ideal for anyone who likes to cycle, hike, camp, fish, climb, trek, paddle, or travel – any situation where you need to relieve yourself discreetly without using a public restroom.
  • HYGIENIC BATHROOM SOLUTION FOR OUTDOOR AND TRAVEL ADVENTURES: The palm-sized funnel contours the body, while the rigid funnel material ensures a leakproof seal. Very little undressing needed, offering discreet use and minimal exposure to weather. A flexible tube makes it easy to direct flow away from the body or into a receptacle.
  • STURDY FUNNEL OFFERS LEAKPROOF SEAL: Rigid funnel contours the body, ensuring a leakproof seal that doesn’t collapse. Easy to position with layers of clothing – stays in place. Lightweight at just over 1 oz, the Freshette packs easily.
  • DISCREET COMPACT DESIGN: A flexible silicone tube fits easily onto the Freshette funnel spout. When not in use, the flexible tube folds over and clips onto the funnel for compact storage. To use: Push tube onto funnel spout. Adjust clothing, take a wide stance, and hold funnel firmly to your body for a complete seal. Relax and go. (Gets easier over time - trust us!) Use tube to direct flow. Clean and store in the reusable bag. Celebrate your ‘go’ anywhere freedom!
  • SUSTAINABLE AND DURABLE: The Freshette is designed to be reusable for years. The funnel is made of High Density PolyEthylene (HDPE) so can easily withstand hot and cold conditions. HDPE funnel and silicone tube both offer a long lifespan. Swiping the funnel forward when done to collect residual drops completely eliminates the need for toilet paper, reducing waste. Easy to clean, wash with soap and water, and air dry. Store in the reusable storage pouch.
  • LEAVE NO TRACE: Urine has little direct effect on vegetation or soil, but may draw wildlife that is attracted to the salts. They can defoliate plants and dig up soil. Urinating on rocks, pine needles, and gravel is less likely to attract wildlife. Diluting urine with water from a water bottle can help. It is best to urinate 200 feet from trails, campsites, high-use areas, and water sources with a water flow of less than 500 cubic feet per second.

Freshette vs Pstyle
3 out of 5 stars
Freshette vs Pstyle
People have asked about this Freshette vs the Pstyle. I have attached a photo of the two products side by side. Looking strictly at the photos I would lean more towards the Freshette. However, after trying both, I might be learning towards the Pstyle. I'm still comparing the two so perhaps I will change my mind before my trip. Below are my initial findings if you're interested :)Pstyle Pros:1) smaller2) much much easier to clean3) you can purchase a separate carrying case. The case is actually really sturdy and nice looking and it comes in a wide variety of materials, colors, & patterns. Kind of like picking a phone case for your phone. And the case also comes with an attachment to proudly hang it on the outside of your backpack or beltloop if you want. I saw a few comments on this website about wanting to hide it - with the Pstyle, you can either hide it or go the opposite direction and proudly display "I pee and I'm proud of it". LOL4) It was easy to position, I just unzippped my pants and slipped it in from the top and then tilted it downward. because of it's thin and streamline shape, I figured it out on on my first try5) As I removed it I could use the edge to gently scrap away any excess moisture, it worked quite well, I didn't feel like I needed TP.Pstyle Cons:1) It's longer but narrower - not sure if that's a pro con, since it's long and skinny it might fit better in a pocket. (Pstyle is 8 inches long, the Freshette is about 6 inches when collapsed)2) Aiming the urine is harder. I felt like I had to lean hips forward & arch my back a little to avoid it getting on my pants. I felt like I was taking a boy stance, so perhaps that's the body position that nature requires. LOL I had to be very careful not to let it drip on me, but I was successful, just paid attention. Perhaps with more practice that becomes easier.3) while I found it very easy to use going in from the top of my pants, I don't think the Pstyle would work well going up the leg of your shorts. I've seen a few comments about people liking to do that method, and I don't think the Pstyle would work for that technique, I think with shorts I would still need to unzip and go in from the top using the Pstyle.Freshette Pros:1) 2 inches shorter but wider, the hose collapses into the container so more compact to carry.2) the angle of the hose is more downward rather than straight out3) the hose is flexible, so I found it easier to aim where I wanted the urine to go4) this one might be easier with shorts going up one leg, I did not try it, so I can't say for sure. But between the two designs, the Freshette looks like it would work better with going up the leg of shorts, than the Pstyle would.Freshette Cons:1) It was a little harder to figure out the placement. On my first attempt, I tried to insert it the same way I did the pstyle, with just unzipping and inserting it from the top and then tilting it down. But with the shape of the cup you have to tilt this one down as you insert it and then you need to tilt the back of it upwards so it cups your privates, and this causes the tub to be bent upwards by your pants, so the tube is pointed up towards my face and of course that's not the direction you want urine to flow. LOL However, since the hose is flexible, I could manually bend it downward and it worked as long as I held the hose down. On my second attempt, I pulled my pants out away from my body and that made placement easier. As long as you pull your pants with one hand and position it with the other hand at the same time and then release your pants back in place, you're not exposing yourself. This positioning worked better and the hose was pointed downward as expected. I think the Freshette just takes a little more practice to get the positioning right - so with practice it may not be a con.2) The bigger con for me was removing it. Because it's more of a "cup" and not just a solid slope, there was still a little urine in the reservoir, not much but since you have to tilt it downward to pull it out, you could accidentally pour a little remaining urine backwards into your pants. So you want to make sure you lean forward to make sure all the urine empties out of the reservoir down the hose before you try to pull it out. This con is the biggest concern so far to me, because I'm worried I'll be in a hurry and think I'm done because no more urine is coming from the hose and I'll just pull it out. It wasn't a lot of urine but certainly enough to make you wet if you spill it. But again, this may just take practice, and it may become an easy habit to lean it forward first to make sure it's empty and it may become natural habit and you don't even think about it.3) I used the edge to wipe on the way out, it worked fine. But not as well as the Pstyle.4) Harder to clean, the only way I could get drops of fluid out of the tube was to take a papertowel and roll it up then twist inside the tubing.5) The case is a bright white plastic bag that has black writing on both sides of it, with a diagram of a body and placement. So needless to say it's not discreet at all and you'll probably want to get a different carrying case for it.So right now, I'm leaning towards the Pstyle, but I'm going to test them a few more times before my trip and then decide which one is better once I'm more comfortable with them both. Two quick comments:1) Even though the website shows a pink example, I actually received the green color. This is fine because it's not like I'm going to be parading it around. But if you search Amazon for Freshette, you'll see there are two different pages - one for pink and another page for green. I purposely picked this one because I wanted the pink, so I was disappointed when I actually received the green one.2) the hose is not nearly as long as the photo implies. Again, if you look up the other Freshette page with the green one that hose is short, whereas the hose with the pink photo is noticeably longer. I compared the two photos and purposely picked the pink one because the hose was longer, and I thought a longer hose would keep the urine further away from my legs. After trying it, the shorter hose seems to work fine, but I just wanted you to know it's shorter than the example on the website so you're not surprised.Sorry for the long post. I hope my feedback helped :)

I like the new version where the tube folds under. Easy to use, discreet, no leaks. Only device I’ve used that can handle a full stream without leaking. Excellent response from the company and great customer service. My original tube was defective and the company quickly shipped me a replacement at no cost.

Will recommend this company and product to anyone who needs it.

I tried the Go girl, Freshette, and Shewee.

I hated the Go girl, ( just way too flexible if you wear yoga pants, and the spout was too short) and tossed it soon after buying it. I could see how this might be a better option if you are buying for a child because the flexibility would help mom to assist. Just a guess though.

I was prepared to love the shewee based on reviews (and it comes in cute colors with a little case and the name? I mean come on! lol) but it was a miss for me. What killed it was the narrow tip. I could never get it to feel comfortable. I don't have a particularly strong stream (at least I'm pretty sure I don't, lol!) but the thing overflowed several times even though I had a good "seal". Overall I was never comfortable with it and after using it on a few solo hikes and a solo roadtrip, all of which I was very happy there wasn't a witness to my shame...lol, I decided to toss it.

So I have a few hiking trips planned and I thought I would give this whole peeing standing up thing one more go. I ordered the freshette. Finally! It works perfectly! I feel totally confident that I am not going to pee on myself or my shoes. It is kind of ugly and a little bit bigger which is a bummer....but the darn thing works as intended and has totally earned its space in my pack. I've been using it for a couple days now in preparation for my trip and not a single issue. It would fit in any medium or large sized purse just fine. A small purse might be a squeeze but doable. I'm looking around for something that is the right size and shape to make a good case for carrying in my pack (if anyone has any suggestions please respond to my review...thank you :) )

Anyway, that prompted me to come back to Amazon to write reviews for all these. I know when I made my first order I spent hours comparing...lol. I hope this helps someone :)

I first bought the pStyle before an operation that would make sitting difficult for a few weeks. I figured it would also come in handy for extended outdoor activities. Obviously, I wasn't satisfied with the pStyle, thus I purchused the Freshette, which has printed on the box - 'new improved model'. Here is why:

The pStyle is a bit narrow, which makes it hard to place and easy to leak. This has more to do with your anatomy than your overall size, though they can be related. I found that there was one, and only one position in which the pStyle would not leak. The pStyle worked best if I leaned forward a bit. This wasn't the easiest after the operation. The pStyle spout sticks straight out, which creates splashback. I could never go full-force, and this is quite a design flaw, given I wouldn't win any velocity or volume awards. And the pStyle felt as if the edges were sharp - it just didn't feel comfortable. I practiced with the pStyle before I had to use it, and I would still have leaks. In sum, it never worked for me. I didn't like it. It wasn't comfortable. And I wouldn't recommend it. I would never trust it while wearing clothes. And I really wanted to use it while traveling and while outdoors.

So, I bought the Freshette. I decided to throw caution to the wind and tried it while fully clothed, though I was at home. I had no troubles at all. No leaks. It was comfortable. There was no guesswork, as there was with the pStyle (do I have it place correctly?). I went full-force. The spout is aimed outward and downward, so there was no splashback. The Freshette was everything I needed and had wanted when I, unfortunately, purchased the pStyle. I've used the Freshette several times already. I've had absolutely no troubles. I don't have to think about it. It seems to have a natural fit/feel. Just place it and go. When I ordered it, I was afraid it would be a bit large. It is surprsingly small. The contour is different, but I would say that it takes up less space than the pStyle even though it is a bit wider, because the spout pushes into the cup for storage. I haven't had any issue with urine remaining in the Freshette (just give gravity a second and a quick shake doesn't hurt), and I find it very easy to clean on the go. In this regard, it is no better or worse than the pStyle. I am very happy with this purchase. I'm about to purchase another one just to leave in the truck we use to haul our toys.

The Freshette does cost a little more than the pStyle; however, the superior design and material quality is well worth it. My pStyle made its way to a landfill quite some time ago. It was of no use to me.
