a Light-duty dustbuster with neat features that don't make up for lack of power
I have an older B&D dustbuster, so I was thrilled to be able to try an updated one via the Vine program. Unfortunately, this new model did NOT live up to my expectations. The good: ~ it's light ~ you don't have to pull the clunky battery off and plug it in with something else to charge it ~ the filter is washable ~ the handy crevice tool pulls out and lets you reach under couches & furniture ~ the handy brush tool that is attached and can be flipped up to use (but popped off really easily) The bad: ~ it doesn't seem to hold a charge for very long ~ it takes a while to charge ~ it is VERY weak. Like other reviewers noted, it doesn't seem to suck up small bits of grit ~ the collection container kept falling off in the midst of use ~ the on-off switch is exactly where your fingers rest while using it, so I kept accidentally turning it off ~ it does NOT like pet fur. I have two cats and a dog, so the dustbuster is a BIG tool in my fight against fur-bunnies Overall, I would NOT recommend this model unless you just need it for very light duty. Hopefully they will give it more power in an update.
