Got into the DE razor culture after getting my head shaved by one at a local barber. Used a Merkur 34c with a newly received untested pack of Personnas, and prior to this, I was using the Van der Hagen brand stocked at Wal-Mart (an average German razor experience with no frills, but gets the job done). The shave was different, smoother with less tug and burn, and it is enjoyable. I can't say for certain how many shaves I get from each razor because my variable of wear is over a wider area (head), so it may only be 2-3 shaves per razor (depending on if I just change after every shave at 13 bucks a box. In the grand scheme of things, it's a good set of American made blades that assumingly have a history in razors (hence their foot in the medical field too) which calls for a set of standards and quality I need in a razor. People say day in and day out that everybody's skin is different and that every razor suits only a certain face, the truth be told... As long as you buy a commercial product and not one made in a back alley from rusty hammered down nails, you'll most likely enjoy the shave.
Another variable is history, if the blades in question have a long history in the razor business, they're doing something right and their razors are intended for a general audience instead of the "picky sensitive woman skin many manly shaving snobs complain about." Technique plays a vital role to shaving too, if you get nicks and cuts constantly and blame the blades, more than likely it's you and NOT the blades if others don't have the same issues you do (NOT the ones who give negative reviews, of which you get little but it speaks volumes of bias to those without the experience of the blade in question.) Blades are blades, if you know what you're doing, you get a good shave with a good brand, end of story.
These blades are good for the price, they're not FEATHERS, but then again having the sharpest tool in the shed isn't the best sometimes when your dealing with areas close to arteries and there is room for mistakes. These blades shave smooth and that's what counts for an enjoyable shave.
Will be making a regular staple of the bathroom arsenal alongside my Astras because the prices allow me to stock up.

Not what i expected.
Its ok, not what i was expecting nor what everyone keeps raving about. Quality could be way better. The razor blade has a white paper and the branding of the blade seems fake. If not for reading and seeing videos that this is the new image of these blades, I would have though that this was a fake product. These are definately not the pictures shown in amazon. The ink on the blade is smudged and you really cant tell if its a personna blade but supposedly this is the real thing. Now first time shaving with these blades it didn't go so well for me. The blade feels sharp, a bit grabby for me and it did cut me a few times. By the second pass i was bleeding. After the first experience i was kind of putting these off to the side and using the Gillette silver blue. They worked wonderful but after some time i decided to use the Personna blades again. I didn't use my regular safety razor; the Merkur Model 180 Long Handled. Instead the Gillette Super Adjustable, with the number 6 setting. It worked really great, it was smooth shave and I only got a few minor cuts from pressing too hard. The Personna blade didn't work on my regular safety razor but worked well on my adjustable. If i hadn't used my Super Adjustable i would have given this product 3 stars maybe less but i am bumping it up to 4 stars because the blades worked well after giving them a second chance. I could have picked a bad blade but so far its been smooth shaving. I did deduct 1 star because of the poor quality of branding on the blades. I have never seen such terrible ink printing on any blades like this one. The ink printing is smudged and looks thick and fading away. For an American product it really lacks good quality control. Would i buy these again? Hmm? No, Its a 100 pack so they will last for some time but i tried and liked the Feather and Gillette silver blue as these two blades work well with my regular safety razor. Not only do they give me the best shave but i dont gets cuts when using these blades.
