This egg tray is elegant and can fit one dozen eggs worth of deviled eggs (24 spots). If you only make a half dozen eggs, you can fill every other spot as pictured and it still looks good. You could also use it to display dyed eggs at Easter. Although designed for eggs, it also could be used to hold cake balls or donut holes. It is a heavy ceramic and elegant.I am not sure what to use the center circular spot is supposed to hold, but I will probably put a bottle of hot sauce or hot powdered spice in the center. The husband and I really like our eggs spicy, but usually put the spices on the side for those who do not prefer them that way.The box it comes in is rather plain, not displayed the best for gifting.

I wanted a platter that I could put in the oven. The 16 inch oval is both heatproof and a nice medium size. I wanted to be able to serve hot already carved turkey. I put 1/4 inch of hot gravy on the platter. The lip was great for containing the gravy. We arranged sliced Turkey on top of the gravy and popped it in a 325 oven for 15 minutes. Perfect!
