About

Lingua Ignota on Tour

The talented Lingua Ignota is an inspirational singer who continues to create music that empowers fans and audiences. While the singer has a hard time describing what genre she fits into, her goal is to make music for those who have been through hard times to encourage them to keep going.

This message of perseverance comes through brilliantly when seeing Lingua Ignota live. When onstage, Lingua Ignota belts out powerful notes while engaging with the audience. Fans often echo the empowering lyrics as the whole place comes alive for an unforgettable performance.

Lingua Ignota has been touring since 2018, when she originally opened for the experimental metal band, The Body. However, Lingua Ignota announced that she will stop touring after early 2023. Kristin Hayter, the mastermind behind the Lingua Ignota project, is looking to move away from her current style of music and explore other genres.

If you want to see Lingua Ignota perform live one last time, get your tickets to her 2022 HELL IS REAL tour before it's too late.

Lingua Ignota Live in Concert

Kristin Hayter, the artist behind Lingua Ignota, was born in Del Mar, California, in 1986. It didn't take long for her vocal talents to appear as a teacher noticed her natural vibrato when Hayter was only 8 years old. Growing up in a religious family, she sang weekly at her local church until she broke away from religion during her teenage years.

Throughout her schooling, Hayter earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Literary Arts from Brown University. She is also classically trained in piano and voice. While she does have a classical background, Hayter had a different image in mind when she created the "Lingua Ignota" project in 2017.

With Lingua Ignota being born, Hayter began producing music geared at empowering those who have survived domestic abuse and personal struggles. Her first album as Lingua Ignota, Let the Evil of His Own Lips Cover Him, was released in 2017. All proceeds were donated to the National Network to End Domestic Violence.

Lingua Ignota didn't take long to release her next album in 2017, All B****es Die. The album's popularity spread, and Hayter was signed to the Canadian extreme metal independent label Profound Lore Records.

Even though Hayter has experienced success as Lingua Ignota, she plans to retire the project in early 2023 and begin producing in other areas of music.

Lingua Ignota is one of the greatest performers I've ever seen live. What a voice and performance. A must watch. Sadly, she's retiring this part of her performance. But I'm sure whatever emerges will be just as incredible.
