    Venue sucks

by John on 3/25/23The Depot - Salt Lake City

Show was amazing venue sucks, you have to sit in the balcony to have a drink. Then pay an extra $20 if you want to be closer or $100 to sit.

    10/10

by Peter Shumway on 3/25/23The Depot - Salt Lake City

God Speed was single handedly the best concert Ive ever been to. The crazy crescendos and quite hiatuses hit 10x harder than the regular versions. The venue shook half the time, while my brain felt like it was being transported to a different dimension the other half only to abruptly ripped out the trance when the music changed gears. Sometimes I swear I heard what sounded like screaming coming from on stage, which was only the wild sound of the guitars. With three guitarists, two drummers, two bassists and a violinists, I feel like they could have created any noise they wanted to, and they did. It was absolutely bonkers and I would go again in a heartbeat even if it cost me twice as much.

One of the best live experience I've had

GY!BE has surpassed even the highest expectations. A wall of sound you get lost in.

    Sonic Bliss

by Chip on 4/27/229:30 CLUB - Washington

I’ve been a fan of GYBE for many years and this was the first time seeing them live. They did not disappoint. It was wave after wave of sonic bliss with a cool reel of very “art school” projections behind the nearly invisible band members. Some performers believe the music is most important and will try to reduce their stage presence to push the music forward. It’s the band’s prerogative, of course, but it would have been nice to see the members more clearly — I feel that’s some of what we pay for when we go to a live show. Otherwise, the show was cosmically great.

Transcendent experience. Masterfully restrained. An explosion in slow motion.

    Good show bad venue

by Neem on 4/22/22Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - Boston

Performance was great, really just sick of attending sold out shows at the Paradise though. Unless you get in the venue at doors you're probably going to be staring at a pole. Wish the booking agents would stop booking excessively sold out shows at the venue, when theres plenty of other venues around the city

    Mesmerizing... as usual

by Jack G on 3/8/22The Belasco - Los Angeles

What can I say, they were great as always... The music crached down like waves, the sub woofers rattled my chest with that twin bass attack. Totally mesmerizing... as usual.

Venue's stage is too low. no view of band.

by Sonic on 3/8/22The Belasco - Los Angeles

The band was great. The Belasco's stage is actually a low platform that's been bolted together, rather than a 'standard' stage. It's not built to a height that'd allow for standing audience members (ie. everyone, as there are no seats in the general-admission configuration) to see the performers. I'm 5-foot-ten. Standing just to the right of the sound mixing board, I could barely see some of the bandmembers heads. The concert featured the band's visual material on a screen above them, and that was excellent. Maybe it was the band's choice, and not the venue's, to have a too-low stage, so as to highlight the screen. The sound was excellent. I won't return to the venue, though, unless it's just for a DJ and I don't care to have a view of the musicians.
