The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die on Tour

With poetic lyrics and multi-layered instrumentals, The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die (TWIABP) enchants and mystifies its audience with intimate performances, blending emo and indie rock. At the forefront of the emo-revival, TWIABP have continued to push boundaries and their ability to express themselves through their music. Their 2021 tour took them through the United States and United Kingdom. Past tours have also taken them through Canada. Live performances by TWIABP are entrancing, with the band orchestrating the swaying crowd from up-tempo to down-tempo. With expertly layered instrumentals, the band puts their all into every song. TWIABP made their debut in 2010 with the aptly titled demo, Demo 2010. This was followed that same year with both their Formlessness EP and Josh Is Dead EP. Their first full-length album came in 2013 with Whenever, If Ever. In 2014, TWIABP released the brief but no less impressive Between Bodies album and the surprise release of their album The Distance. Keeping pace, the band released their Death to New Years EP and Harmlessness in 2015. They followed those up with their Long Live Happy Birthday EP (2016) and a brief album also titled Formlessness (2016). They released Always Foreign (2017) next, before a hiatus on album releases. Then, in 2021 they released the bountiful double-album Illusory Walls.

The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die Live in Concert

Forming in 2009, in Willimantic, Connecticut, the band was initially formed with four members: Nicole Shanholtzer, Josh Cyr, Tyler Bussey, and the late Thomas Diaz. The band became a five-piece in 2011 with the addition of member Greg Horbal. TWIABP continued to grow and their lineup continued to rotate, swelling to eight members within a few years. Currently, the band has five active members and 10 former members. TWIABP is eclectic, with a sound as wide as their roster. Their inspirations have come from places as far flung as the Dark Souls video game series, which they cited as the inspiration for the title of their album Illusory Walls, as well as its track "Invading the World of the Guilty as a Spirit of Vengeance." In October 2022 the band released a tour documentary alongside a live album, each with the title Thank You For Being Here. The band has more than 100,000 listeners per month on Spotify. Their most popular track, "You Can't Live There Forever," has been streamed more than 4 million times.
