    The vinyl LP package is great, with the usual over-the-top printing quality. The problem with a multi-record vinyl album set is pressing quality consistency. This is a typically pressed by QRP hit or miss album set. A couple of the LP's are excellent. There is one track on one LP which starts out distorted. I contacted Acoustic Sounds directly through their contact page and they didn't respond. I posed a question on their Facebook page, and they replied to call them. They couldn't answer my simple question.

    Klingen gut, die Platten, sind aber leicht verschmutzt, wahrscheinlich Papierstaub und müssen gleich nach dem Auspacken geputzt werden. Die dritte Platte hat einen weissen Staubrand, der sich aber leicht entfernen lässt.Die Box selbst ist elegant aufgemacht, es gibt eine Slipmat und ein ultradünnes Büchlein und zwei Doppelalben um den unverschämten Preis von etwas mehr als 150 €.
    Man bemüht sich um einen Kompromiss zwischen schwer Verdaulichem und Fast - Gassenhauern, was bei früheren Jubiläen ganz gut gelungen ist und diesmal misslingt. Unverständlich ist die Inklusion eines wahrscheinlich historisch interessanten Fast - Sprechstücks aus Archie Sheppˋ s Fire Music oder einer schwächeren Quincy Jones Nummer. Hard Work von John Handy ist Fremdkörper und Africa von John Coltrane nimmt eher nur Platz weg.Es ist dann noch ein laaaanges Stück des Giganten mit seiner Frau enthalten, das mich zum Aufstehen zwang.Man muss das heute nicht mehr hören.Vorbildlich fand ich die Impulse Zusammenstellung der Serie Spiritual Jazz.So macht Impulse Musik hören auch heute noch Freude. Diese Box braucht man nicht.
