If you’re a guitar modder, the Fender bridge plates will not fit without some mods. The plate itself is 5 hole, 3 along the saddle hole edge, and two near the front; most Fender parts are going to be 4 hole. The routing for the bridge pickup and the string holes are a bit off from the Fender ashtray plate as well. I think it can be solved by routing the bridge p/u cavity a quarter of an inch forward, but it may not be worth it just to go with Fender parts. In short, it may be a bit of a hassle to find replacement parts if modding.
For anyone else, this is a fine guitar. The maple neck on the Affinity might be worth the money, but I do consider the thru body design part of the Telecaster tone and necks are probably the simplest piece to change out down the road. The Tele itself is very versatile without a complicated control setup nor tremolo, so I would highly recommend for beginners regardless of genre. If you have an extra $50, and want a guitar that has a little more versatility in the long run, in tone and function, I would suggest the Affinity Stratocaster or a knockoff design, something with a tremolo, an extra pickup, and a couple more control options. But for something simple and ready to rock out of the box, this is definitely a solid pick for the cost.
I got this with the intention of upgrading everything over time. It’s my first “project” guitar ever. So far, I’ve done easy stuff like shielding the cavities, new pickguard, neck plate, tuners and strings. I plan on replacing the pickups, knobs and bridge eventually, but not in a hurry since these sound fine.
Like me, if this is a project guitar for you, be gentle if you need to lift out the switch/knob plate. The soldering job on the pots & switch was weak and one of the wires popped out after a couple wiggles.

The guitar itself is good. It's a top loader bridge, not a string through like the 2019. Works fine. I kept the tuners and replaced the saddles with some better ones I had in my parts box. Plays fine. It needed a lot of TLC on the sharp fret ends. For the money I expected imperfection, but this fret work was particularly time consuming as they really sprouted out and were cut poorly. I replaced the ceramic pickups with Amazon-procured Fleor Alnico 5s. Did the same on my 2019. Nice pickups for the money and they do emulate the '60s Tele sound on the cheap. Made the strap cushion with animal print faux suede I found in an attic, using an eleven dollar Perri strap also sourced on Amazon. It took longer to stitch that on than it did to file the fret ends.
It's Iconic Strummer on a budget. Used Grolsch strap locks too. Plays well, sounds good. I'm happy with it. Needed to spray grey primer over the sunburst and then black over that. Lots of sanding and bashing with chains and billiard balls. Sourced the stickers wherever I could find them. Time consuming but not expensive. Nice platform for this modification. Four stars for the Squier Bullet Telecaster. Perfectly good guitar. Thanks Amazon.

This arrived very well packaged and the strings where in half decent condition and the guitar itself was very well made for the price, so much so that I would say that £ for £ this is best little bit of kit I've had in a very long while ( 0ver the years I've collected a Epiphone SG and Les Paul amongst others)
This is ideal for beginners and intermediaries and as I said love just having it around the house tuned to open G ready to playing along to many a Stones number....
