After much research and the reading of MANY reviews, I purchased two of these 10" x 3" pans. First, the Wilton name still means quality, in most cases. Second, it had straight sides, not slanted, which I needed for my grandson's birthday cake. Third, the detailed directions on how to prepare, clean, and store the pans was included. Do NOT put them in the dishwasher. They are nonstick, so they are super easy to HANDWASH and dry. Do NOT stack them inside one another without protection (They come in a separate plastic bag. You can store each pan in its own bag and store them that way.) These pans are for people who are careful about their baking tools and know not to use metal tools in them, nor stack them, nor leave them in sinks, etc. They'll last for a very long time, if you take the time to care for them. Wilton is owned by Oetker renowned for quality baking equipment. My choice was easy and I am so very pleased with my purchase.

This seems to be a sturdy aluminum cake pan and mine arrived without any dents. It's lightweight but isn't flimsy at all. Directions state that it's not dishwasher safe but it cleaned easily by hand. I greased and floured the pan and the cake didn't stick.

I first ordered the less expensive Wilton "Performance" pan in the same size, but although it was in stock, after a week and a half it had not even shipped. I cancelled that order and upgraded to this thicker version which arrived in a couple of days. It was a bit pricey but should last a long time. It worked well for a Dundee cake which needs this size pan, so no complaints.

This is a pretty decent pan as far as cake pans go. There are nicer pans, but those cost many, often MANY times the price of this pan. Because the pan is aluminum, it is more delicate than steel pans, but unless you're in the habit of bouncing your cake pans off the floor, it shouldn't be an issue.
This pan produces cakes with an even, light golden color, a desirable outcome that more than a few more expensive pans have difficulty achieving.
In all, this pan is an excellent value as far as deep pans go. If I needed another I would happily buy this pan, again.

I have read all about spring form pans and water bath for baking cheesecake. Well aluminum foil has failed me for the last time and I'll share my secret. All you need to do for perfect results every time is to purchase this pan and a silicone cake pan with high sides and put it around your spring form pan then place it in this fourteen inch cake pan and use it over and over leak free, It's not too large to handle like a flimsy baking foil and it holds plenty of water for the perfect steam. It's a lot easier to clean up as a bonus. Go make a cheese cake!
