A good, standard Crockpot
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this during a sale, and I’m glad I did. There are four settings on this machine. Some may prefer more flexibility in programming, but I like have these present setups. It’s a good size and worked well for me so far.

Great machine, bad retailer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product, works as you would think. Shipping was a problem. Smart Addition to Our Kitchen!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s pretty straight forward with this Crockpot…It does exactly what a slow cooker has done since it was invented in the 1940’s and then rebranded in the 1970’s as the iconic Crockpot brand. It slow cooks a delicious meal nice easy with minimal input by me! Dependable and reliable. There have been some changes for the better though. This crockpot is replacing a slow cooker from the early 2000 that was very heavy and white with a floral designs….ugly and used rubber bands to “secure” the lid….what a joke! I’m sure it was a cool design at the time but super dated and an embarrassment when I was taking it to friends houses now. This Crockpot is sleek and made with durable lightweight alloy for the outer cooking shell and heat element and a sleek beautiful black inner stoneware for the cooking surface. My favorite update by far is the latching lid!!! I’m sure everyone who has had a slow cooker has experienced the precarious drive to the friends/family members house with the slow cooker just a turn away from spilling all the contents into the floor….Not with this Crockpot. The lid is tight and secure and the lid also has a snug seal that keeps all the heat, moisture and food inside! It also is easy to close and open and wash. The lid and the stoneware are both dishwasher safe! The stoneware is also oven and microwavable safe. NOTE: The lid is not! It pays to read the instructions some times! I did not know that. Hugh improvement over my last! When I was running this through it paces, I took a cream cheese corn side dish to a co-workers going-a-way party and was, for the first time in a long time….not embarrassed of my slow cooker! I also did a Rotel cheese dip for some football and a pot roast is on tap this week! It could not be any easier to use. It has a “high" 4 or 6 Hr preset option and a “low” 8 to 10 Hr preset and an as expected “keep warm” selection as well for when you arrive at your party. Some things to consider with this model is that is not programable. If that’s important for you you may want to take a step up on the Crockpot line. That’s not a big deal for me. I just want a dependable, spill proof easy way to make slow cooked meals and sides and this Crockpot does the trick and looks sharp!

Simple can be GREAT!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It doesn’t get any easier than this Crock-Pot. Simply put, add your ingredients and hit the button. Obviously, there’s a little more to this slow cooker. For our family, we are always looking to get things done while we are busy. This is the perfect addition to our kitchen to do that. Our first meal was a shredded barbecue chicken. It was fantastic and simple to make. We added chicken breasts, bbq sauce, set the timer, and came back later to shred it. The kids devoured it and that’s the best review of anything that helps make food in the kitchen. Once we were done, the clean up was easy as well. Nothing stuck to the stoneware and everything came clean with minimal effort. Our second endeavor was homemade applesauce after a trip to the apple orchard. We peeled and cut the apples, added water and lemon juice, and then set the timer. It turned out wonderful and the family all enjoyed it. Once again, the clean up was a breeze. I was worried because the applesauce did crust a little toward the end of cooking, but it came right off. As you can see, we made two nice things very easily. To go along with that, we were impressed with how light the slow cooker is compared to others. We’ve had a few over the years and they are beasts. It certainly makes it easier to travel when the unit is lighter. On top of that, let’s talk about the locking lid. While we haven’t had to travel with it yet, that is huge. We’ve been known to travel with chili or other slow cooker staples so it’s nice to know that we have this added safety measure. There are a few things that I wish were a little better. The first was how short the cord is on the slow cooker. While we have ample outlets around our counter space, it would be nice to have some length to the cord for when we don’t have an outlet so close by. The second thing is that the lid does feel a little small or odd, but it seems to be remedied by locking the lid into place. It just would be nice to have that feeling without locking it. The last thing is that we were getting moisture under the handle on the lid. To ensure things didn’t turn bad, I had unscrewed the lid to make sure that area dried out. I don’t think that should be happening at all. Ultimately, I think the Crock-Pot Cook & Carry Slow Cooker is a worthwhile addition to any kitchen. It’s simple to use and could be huge for people using it on the go. You have the ability to set and forget it on the kitchen counter or even take it tailgating. This unit has a lot to offer with such a simple design.

Another Great Crock Pot
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is going to be a pretty simple review. The reason, Crock Pot brand Crock pots work. They work well and they work a long time. I chose this one because my 10+year old crock pot got cracked when I accidently hit it on the corner of my granite countertop. It still worked fine but I did want to try one with the automatic timers and this one has 2 settings at High ( 4hrs and 6 hrs) and then on Low ( 8hrs and 10hrs). Once done, it goes to Warm. While it’s not quite fall yet here, once receiving this, I decided to give it a test of one of our slow cooker favorites. We took a large chuck roast and made Mississippi Pot Roast. Basically gravy mix, ranch mix, butter and many pepperoncini’s and some of the pepperoncini juice. I set it to 6 hours on high, closed the lid and let it go. About 3 hours in, I turned it over and spooned the pepperoncini’s back on top so they melt down into the meat. After the 6 hours finished, it turned itself to warm as it was supposed to. I went ahead and hit the 8hr Low button just to keep it cooking low for another hour or so until ready for dinner. Amazing… no real other words to choose here, perfectly cooked. Cleanup was a breeze as always with Crockpots as the attached picture will show. Now, the Carry part. This is great. The lid is modified with metal ( not plastic) clips that do clip to plastic parts of the handle to lock the lid on. Keep in mind that even though the lid on this model has a rubber ring around it, the locking part does not lock it down hard enough to turn this thing up on its side and prevent spilling. It will spill. The purpose here is now you can easily cook up a great pot of goodness, lock the lid, set it in the floorboard of your car and go to your next socially distanced pot luck! Seriously, this thing is rock solid as all the Crockpot products I have ever owned. I would highly recommend.

Good Buy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good Looking Slow Cooker Not sure why it would be called a programmable Slow Cooker. You have the quick set timers for low and high heat cooking. The quick settings are 4 or 6 hours on high and 8 or 10 hours on low. There is nothing to program and there are no further adjustments however as explained to me this is considered a programmable slow cooker. I would prefer the crock-pot that whether you chose high or low cooking you can adjust the cooking time in 30-minute increments up or down. This would give you a little more flexibility with your cooking. The warm feature that can be used at the end of the cook is a nice feature and works well. Instruction recommend not using this feature more than 4 hours. We cooked chili and a roast using the recipes that came with the cooker and they both came out excellent. Locking lid is a great feature if you have plans to cook and carry to an event. The removable stoneware makes clean up easy. The stoneware can be put in the dish washer or hand washed; however, it is heavy. The stoneware can also be used in the oven and/or the microwave, you cannot use the lid in either of these uses due to the rubber seal on the lid. For the price, the Crock-Pot is nice and worth the purchase.

Very easy to use and clean
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well I only gave it 4 stars because of 2 things. I'll get to that later. Very easy to use it has 2 buttons and you select your heat level and cook time. We made chicken stew I was so hungry and it was so good that I forgot to take pics, but the meat was so soft came right out the bone. After we ate it was time to clean up, again very easy. Took out the pot and the lid and washed them. Couldn't be any easier. Wiped the unit that holds it. Now its ready to be used again. The 2 things that were a little annoying is placing the lid so that the hinges grab it right. Even though it's an oval design the lid for me is a bit small. It does seal nice though when properly closed. Maybe I just have to get used it to in time. Second thing is the cord size it's like 2 feet at best. 4 foot would be nice. Other than those 2 things the crock pot works well. I had to retire my old one since the knob broke off. This one wont have that problem lol.
