Product Description

Whether you're camping in frigid weather, spending warm nights under the stars, or anything in between, the Coleman all-weather multi-layer sleeping bag has you covered. The bag features 3 versatile layers (all weather, warm weather, and cold weather) that can be removed or attached at simple connection points based on the anticipated weather conditions. When it's hot out (60˚f or higher), cover up with the lightweight all weather fleece sheet. When the temperature drops at night (45˚f-55˚f), swap in the warm weather inner bag for more coziness. As the temperature cools (32˚f-45˚f), use the cold weather outer bag for a comfortable night's rest. If it gets really frosty out (as low as 0˚f), attach all 3 layers together for ultimate warmth. Ready to pack up the roll control loop fasteners help keep the bag straight while you roll it up, and the included carry bag makes storing and transporting your new sleeping bag to and from the campsite that much easier.

As soon as I received this item I opened the box very excited. Not for too long as there were some dried water stains on the top of the sleeping bag, so i was thinking ,,not a big deal" hoping there is nothing else wrong with it as I needed it for the weekend . But there it comes ! The sleeping bag was full with dust and pet hair , that was very disgusting , so I just stopped to unroll it till the end . It's obvious this sleeping bag was used before sold to me . I paid the price for New Condition sleeping bag !!!! See pictures attached ! Discustting ! Never again buying Coleman Products !

Bought a pair of these bags for a trip I took in April to Iowa. First night it snowed and inside the tent we stayed pretty warm between a space heater and this sleeping bag when the outside temperature got down to 32ish degrees. Slept through the night without feeling cold. Although as an added precaution I slept in a wool base layer and had a knit cap on. Going to try another trip here in June that the nighttime temperatures are mostly in the 50's.
They are also very comfortable with the soft cotton inside and out. Polyester bags for me tend to be uncomfortable because if you sweat they stick to your skin if you try to move around.
The picture can be deceiving because it looks like 3 bags that allow layering. It is actually two bags with one small blanket. The gray layer is just a blanket that is the same dimensions at the inside of the bags. The outer bag is the thickest with the inner bag being a bit lighter.
It seems to be a very versatile bag for what you get. It is 5 bags in one. You can use just the inner bag, the inner bag with the blanket, just the outer bag, the outer bag with the blanket or all three pieces together for ultimate warmth.
Although I have only had one trip with this set of sleeping bags I think they will serve me well for years to come and many future trips.

This product is wonderful. It really is. Let’s start with the appearance (yeah I know it doesn’t matter). It looks great. The dark flat blue and the egg shell white inner blanket are actually kind of beautiful together. It just is pleasing to look at.

Comfort. My god, where to start. My bed is probably not as comfortable. It feels like you’re sleeping on a memory foam topper. The cotton (not nylon or polyester) feels so good to the skin. An old school feeling of comfort that seems to have all but disappeared in sleeping bags now. It’s like staying at a Marriott and disappearing into one of their beds. It’s that soft and lofty. My wife got in it and actually fell asleep within 2-3m. Every night now I sleep with the inner bag as my comforter on my actual bed.

Warmth: Haven’t tried it in cold temps yet, but given the amount of loft of the layers, it says 0 and I’m willing to believe it can get close to that.

Versatility: In addition to the obvious layers for one person, you can unzip the two bags and use it for two people, with the outer bag as a lofty mattress cover while the inner bag becomes a comforter for mild climate camping.

Cons: It’s way too bulky And heavy to even consider for backpacking. This is a car camping bag pretty much exclusively. I have a massive external Kelty Tioga, and the complete bag system wouldn’t fit in the main compartment. Zippers do catch from time to time, so zip responsibly. The innermost fleece sheet just sort of crumpled up easily as you’re sleeping in it. I can see you waking up in the night with it bunched up and completely off your body. But it’s those two bag layers that count!

My wife loves it so much, I will probably buy a second one for myself. I’ve thought about this or the Slumberjack. But this is quite a bit less expensive and probably every bit as comfortable.

    A fantastic buy.

I'm a side sleeper and not skinny (5'11, 260). Good price on sale, good quality and soft material. This bag kept me warm during early spring truck camping (high 30s outside) but I was not comfortable. It says 38" wide but that's for the main bag, not with the 2nd bag in place; I ended up using it as a blanket because the fit was so tight. I later laid it out on my garage floor and found that if 2 or 3 layers are in place, zipping it up didn't leave very much room for sleeping on my back and I was not able to easily turn over to simulate sleeping on my side. Good bag, just not what I need, so I bought a Teton Mammoth 0F double sleeping bag and will pass this Coleman to one of my kids.

This is the second one of these that I've purchased. I've had one for years, and I just got one for my husband. This is my favorite sleeping bag ever! It's so soft, and the layers are perfect for all kinds of weather.
  • Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2021
The entire bag is a great idea. The fleece is a bit of a pain for the winter nights but I used it as more of a neck and arms wrap to "cork in" the warmth.
For the warmer weather I would expect that the bag may not be needed at all. Just sleep on top and use the fleece as a top cover.
The only problem I would warm folk on is rolling this one up. Requires a good bit of effort to get this rolled tight, however the shell for the bag is oversized so it may not matter for most.

I can't say enough great things about this sleeping bag.

Even though they say it's 3 layers, the light layer is basically useless as it is such a small little blanket. BUT, the other two layers are like super soft, comfy down comforters. (I don't think they are down, but they have that kind of feel.)

I use the sleeping bag in the following ways:

When it's below freezing, I have the whole thing zipped up. I wear a hoody and it's pretty cozy.

When it's more like 45 or so, I unzip the whole thing and use them like comforters and they can also double as a body pillow if I roll up the side a bit. When its even warmer I just use the lighter one as a comforter.

I am sooo happy with this purchase. Worth every penny!

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW je l'adore!
Reviewed in Canada on May 2, 2022

I wasn't expecting too much given the price, but these sleeping bags are PHENOMENAL. Just got home after our weekend camping where temperatures dropped to -7 Celsius, We were toasty warm in these sleeping bags! The blanket it comes with inside is super thin so it doesn't do too much, but honestly the bag is all you need anyways. It was freezing out (snowed half the weekend) and your body heat is trapped inside these sleeping bags so we'll you'll think you were camping in warmer weather. I am extremely impressed.

You get a lot from this purchase. Opened, it is a good size. I had a Coleman bag that was a bit short for me at 5'10" but this one is long enough. Once rolled, it is still big with all the layers. This is not meant for backpacking.
