The first time I ever ordered from The Laundress, I decided to pop this in my cart, curious if it could indeed replace the stain stick I was relying on. Not only did it replace it, it's SO MUCH BETTER!! This amazing little bar of clean-smelling goodness has helped me to "rehabilitate" several tops that had been tainted by an oil residue from the Native deodorant I'd been using for several months. If you don't know Native, it really works, it's vegan and natural, but the top ingredient is coconut oil! THAT, my friends, will build up into a weird-smelling biofilm in the armpit area of your clothes (btw, I switched to Corpus Deodorant in Neroli a few months ago and never looked back). I'd tried Biokleen Bac-out (usually use it for pet messes), but it only got it halfway out. When I lathered up my Laundress Wash and Stain bar and applied it liberally to the problem areas, inside and out, then washed with my Sport detergent, it got the smell out! I couple of things needed repeat treatment, as a faint smell would come back when the fabric warmed under my arms, but now everything is nice and clean. I can also attest to the stain-removal properties, since I make the occasional kitchen mess and I loathe aprons :) This bar removes oil stains as well as tomato stains, all you need to do is lather it in with warm water, let it sit twenty minutes, and throw it in the wash. This is an amazing tool in my laundry arsenal for the price, and I keep at least one backup at all times!
