Founded In 1853, Levi Strauss opened a wholesale dry goods business in San Francisco that became known as Levi Strauss & Co. Seeing a need for work pants that could hold up under rougher conditions, he and Jacob Davis, a tailor, created the first jean. In 1873, they received a U.S. patent for "waist overalls" with metal rivets at points of strain. The first product line designated by the lot number "501" was created in 1890.

Today we design and market jeans, casual wear and related accessories for men, women, and children under the Levi's, Dockers, Signature by Levi Strauss & Co. and Denizen brands.

I tried on 2 different size small jackets (my usual size), and they were snug and the sleeves were too short — and my arms are definitely a bit on the short side. Thus, when I saw this on sale, I ordered the medium, and it is perfect! The red tag says “levis” — recommend anyone to size up. The jacket is not overly boxy, very flattering.

Thai jacket is exactly what I would expect from Levi. It’s warm, it’s cute, the pockets are pretty good, and I wear it everywhere. I live in an arctic wasteland (just kidding but I’m in Idaho) and we get a lot of snow and have below freezing f winds a lot and this jacket, with a hoodie is perfect for going to the store or to and from the gym. I wear it to any appointments I have. But it’s also light enough for those warmer days to not make you super hot. Love it.

Rivet broke off sleeve

This is a very well made jacket like you would expect from Levi. I was upset due to the fact that I had only been wearing it for about 30 minutes before the rivet that snaps the sleeve together broke off. I’m not able to wear it until I get some rivets and a tool to replace it. I didn’t want to mess with sending it back so I’ll just get stuff to buy it. Plus got a good price since it was on sale.

Hopefully you have better luck. It did fit true to size.

This is light wash blue color and it fits my teenage girl very well. Some review said that it was smaller in size, I just found it to be the normal size. It is intended to have some thick clothing underneath. The length is perfect, not too long .as shown in the model. My daughter is 168 cm slim type.
