- Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2009There are a lot of sex guides out there, but I doubt any of them are as useful, informative, attractive, or easy to learn as this one. This guide really does spice up your love life.
The cards are high-quality, printed on excellent stock and bound neatly in a heavy-duty, smooth cardboard box. The illustrations are tastefully sketched and do not distract from the attention given to the simple instructions on each card's flip side. Each card falls into four categories: woman on top, man on top, rear entry, and standing. Each entry is rated in difficulty from one to five, and the brief instructions contain a surprising wealth of information on each position: the benefits for the woman, the benefits for the man, contraindications (such as for a well-endowed man or for a man with a small penis), and possible variations. The deck comes with an excellent introduction complete with professional advice and suggestions for how to use the cards, when, where to leave them as hints, etc. The advice is effective and very thoughtful for couples.
I am a woman who has been with my man for 17 years. We have always enjoyed each other physically and have experienced the many ups and downs that most couples do. Recently, I have found myself paying more attention to keeping him happy and going through a bit of a mid-life phase, wanting to recapture some of the youthfulness of past that I had always taken for granted. Now and then, I began to get the nagging feeling that our sexual repertoire in bed was becoming a bit stale (same 3 positions over and over again) after we had our two children. In doing so, I stumbled upon this handy little deck, bought it, and sat down tonight with my husband to look over the cards without any particular agenda. We noticed that we had already done many of the ones demonstrated. One full hour and 9 new positions later, I emerged from the bedroom feeling as if I had evolved to a higher self. Though we tried various positions and had lots of fun doing it, I never expected my husband to invent a new position from being inspired by the ones we had read!
The point to my story is: even if you already think you know a lot of sexual positions (we did), enjoy sex enough (we did, too), and doubt there is much else out there you can do to innovate, this deck will definitely change and rev up the way you make love. Just reading the cards inspires you to want to try different positions (and tonight I had thought I wasn't in the mood!). Recommended position to try: #13 Round The Clock I. Position the man has to be careful in and follow the instructions: #12 The Chain. My personal favorites: #7 and #42.
It is an excellent buy for the money. It is a marvelous and cost-effective tool for increasing your enjoyment and mutual fulfillment with your partner, thus improving your marriage or relationship, and having mind-blowing sex that leaves you gasping for air and looking forward to more.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2008The item seems fun and useful. However, my boyfriend and I were slightly disappointed. The positions were obvious and included the good ol' missionary, etc..I found a few cards to be a waste-the positions were just slightly shifted around and they were automatically new positions. So, overall we enjoyed using it, but it's nothing you can't be creative with yourselves!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2008I thought this would be a fun gift for Valentine's Day. My husband and I have been married 14yrs and have a 1yr old. Things can fall into a routine so these cards were fun to add variation to our intimate life. We are not as flexible as some other books would suggest you need to be and we stick with what we know. The great thing about the cards are they take the 4 basic positions and add variation. So we don't have to learn a bunch of new stuff. The cards aren't graphic, which I appreciate, but you do see what it is "suppose" to look like. Plus the cards are bigger than I had anticipated. I thought the size of a deck of playing cards, but they are twice that size. If your not acrobats or single, then like us, you just need some spice to your meal, not a whole new menu. I would recommend these cards!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2009My wife and I have had great fun with these cards. And while no, there isn't anything really wild in here, to us that wasn't the source of our fun. We use the cards as "kindling" to get the fire started. A card slipped into her purse in the morning, or left hidden where she might find later does more to get things going then the actual content of the cards. Sometimes all it takes is a little nudge or suggestion to get our own creativity going.
Overall, I would rate them as fairly high quality with a fair number of positions. Some of the positions are exceptionally basic such as missionary, others are duplicates with a minor twist while others yet are a little more creative. If you're looking for extensive sexual instruction and advanced technique, these probably aren't for you. If you're looking for a little something to spark some creativity and get things going, they can be quite fun.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2007I think that this product is great, we have not looked trough the whole deck yet, trying to leave some suspense. But we like it, the pictures are great enough that you can see what is happening but not too much. We like that it has a section on each card that tell you why the man would like it and why the woman would like it. We have seen a few postions that honestly, you would have to be an acrobat to really get into them. But they still give good ideas and present a change that we have not thought about. Cards are small enough that you can put them almost anywhere, yet large enough to have good pictures. I think that anyone would like to have these. Good product and good information.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2009Each card in the deck of 52 is arranged according to increasing difficulty and comes with a very clear picture, instructions, and pros for each partner listed on the back. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who is already very adventurous in the bedroom, but definitely good for those who want to explore but haven't found the courage/impetus to do so.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2013There really isnt anything in here that you wouldnt think of yourself, but it is good as a reminder of what you may have been missing out on. You can use it like a deck of cards, draw one, and try it out. The drawings are clear and the desciptions are spot on.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2009She laughed when I said it, but picked one. Then another and well you know.
We've been together for 8 years and are always looking for ways to keep the flame going. This is just one of the tools that keep our relationship healthy. Some of the positions are ordinary, but we enjoy all of them.
If you and your partner are open for new things and are somewhat spontaneous I recommend these for you. If your the more traditional type that isn't open to "fun the bedroom", then maybe these aren't for you.
