@meyer_makeup_collection 💗 Happy Wednesday 💗 We are halfway through the week and our reward is #pinkwednesday! Our favorite day to celebrate all things girly. This week I thought I would do a mini review of the covergirl Clean Fresh powder. Since several people have asked me my thoughts on it. Full disclosure, my love of pink is what inspired me to make this purchase. I don’t particularly love using powder but I do sometimes find it to be necessary if I want my makeup to last a long time. I already had the Skin Milk which I actually like so I thought it was worth a shot. Pros: • Translucent shade worked well for my skin and didn’t darken my foundation. • It doesn’t smell like the Noxzema smell some of you may be familiar with from years ago. •It prolonged the wear of my makeup and helped prevent (a little bit of) settling in my fine lines. •It did have a slight skin blurring effect to it. •It did not immediately make my face look dry and flat the way some powders do. And more importantly it didn’t make my face feel dry - I can’t stand being able to feel powders on my skin. •It’s cruelty free, vegan, and has the “Target Clean” stamp which means NO phthalates, parabens, or sulfates. •The price tag is really reasonable (under $10) I only tried the translucent so I cannot speak to the shades in the line. Cons: • The only con I experienced was my face looking a little dry the second half of the day. This however was easily remedied with a face mist to freshen it up a bit. Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised with this powder. I went in with low expectations for it but was surprised with how well it wore. I would imagine it would’ve even nicer on somebody with normal to oily skin. This is a great little compact to have around to touch up with or set your makeup with in the mornings.
