    Good Overall
We have a large wall in our living room that we were struggling to come up with the right piece of Artwork to hang on. Nothing seemed right in style or color. This TV doubles very nicely as a 4K TV and Art that we can change and play around with.TV Mode:The instructions that come with it are a little confusing as you have some conflicting information on 3 different manuals/quick start guides. I'm always surprised by companies leaning toward over communicating rather than focusing on being clear and concise.4K QLED. Much improved picture quality over my older 1080 Samsung. Much brighter and clearer. Easy to find controls for picture and sound. Still playing around with the settings so I cannot offer a lot of detail here. My primary concern is disabling or reducing Motion Smoothing to get rid of the Soap Opera Effect and you can do that. The sound is nowhere near what a dedicated theater system would produce, but it is surprisingly good with fairly clear speech. The remote is simple but works seamlessly to replace the remote I use for the firestick so I'm pretty happy I can use just one remote. The One Connect box may be great or a royal pain depending on your use. I'm trying to have everything hidden so the wall is totally clear of anything except the TV itself. That will involve hiding the box inside the wall. For those looking for dimensions I measure my box as 13 11/16" W x 5 3/8" D x 2 9/16" H or 346mm x 136mm x 65mm. Still haven't figured this out yet, but it will happen one way or another! The single cable from the One Connect box to the TV is pretty cool in that both TV signals (coax, usb, hdmi etc) and power travel up this clear, thin cable. Pretty amazing. To accomplish this, the cable has a fiber optic line inside it therefore you cannot bend the cable too sharply around corners which is probably not a big deal for most people, but be aware that it can be damaged and is proprietary. If you'll be putting the OneConnect box in or on a cabinet below the TV, this cable looks way better than multiple cables hanging down. It's clear and does not stand out against the wall.Art Mode:The No Gap wall mount is great and the TV sits flush against the wall just like a picture frame would. This is a very nice feature that helps sell the Art look and makes the TV look slick.I read a review that said the Art displayed would, “not fool a child” - For this I say it all depends on the lighting in your room and what Art you display. Our living room is really bright during the day and what we display would absolutely fool anyone into thinking it was a framed photograph. Real paintings are not typically displayed behind glass so if your goal is to fool people into thinking you have an original Rembrant on your wall you’ll be disappointed. If however you’d like to display a large high quality print of that Rembrant that appears behind quality museum glass in a nice frame and mat, this will look amazing. Same with high quality photos. The TV comes with a 30 day trial of Samsung's Art store which you can continue with a $4.99 monthly subscription fee. There are lots of pieces here with many styles, Artists and mediums. Most of the Art here isn’t our style, so this bit is obviously super subjective. I wish there were more high quality photography of landscapes and nature. Plenty of Art from Monet, Manet, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and a lot of fruit bowls and plump, round, semi-nude women and cherubs if you’re into that sorta stuff. Overall I’d say there are at least a few things to be found that will appeal to everyone.Using the SmartThings app on your phone you can upload your own pictures to display. This is where I’ve had some problems as I’ve only been able to display my uploads with no mat at all or the Shadow mat. All other mats just show a black screen. I’m hopeful that a future update will fix this. Speaking of mats, the mat sizes, color options, and customization are surprisingly limited considering the Art mode premium you pay on this TV. Don’t get me wrong, I do like it, but you will have that, “huh it seems like it could/should do more” kinda reaction.Overall I’m happy with the purchase. The look and features fit my needs overall. There are some areas with Art mode that could use some enhancement to really polish this off like more mat colors, mat options, fixing matting issues with uploaded files. All that can be done via firmware update so I’m hopeful. In the meantime 4 out of 5Happy to answer any specific questions in comments**Edit 4/30/2020**Removing a star and tempted to remove 2. Samsung has done a couple unforgivable things with this TV. First, total Storage space on the TV itself is less than 4GBs and a good deal of that is absorbed by the Samsung Hub and the associated apps it forces upon you. If you are familiar with Samsung phones you'll understand what I'm talking about. If you never watch UFCTV too bad for you it can't be uninstalled. The shocker here is that only 500MBs of space is allotted for photos you upload yourself in Art Mode. Seriously and utterly stupid. Flash storage is dirt cheap and with the $2k I spent on this they could have given 16 or 32GBs. You can use a USB flash drive to transfer photos back and forth to the TV, but you cannot display direct from the USB. why???Samsung TV is the default startup option. If you use an external FireTV, AppleTV, Roku, etc this cannot be set to be the default, only apps can. Why???The OneConnect box is pretty weird to deal with. Looking at my old (2015) 60" Samsung this FrameTV isn'tnoticeably thinner, so why did the guts have to be separate? And what to do with this thing? If you are OK trading multiple ugly black cords down your wall with one very thin, sorta clear cable it makes a ton of sense. If you want a picture frame on your wall that turns into a TV it is really hard to deal with. I mentioned in my review that one way or another I'd figure out a way to hide it and I did, but only because that worthless corner cabinet in my kitchen just happens to be directly behind the wall I mounted the TV on. But here is where Samsung dropped the ball again. On the back of the TV where the Oneconnect cable plugs into the TV, there is a little groove carved in for the cable to run down and out so the TV (see pics) can fit flush to the wall. What if you need to run the cable up or to the center or anywhere you need to get the cable to a position where it can go through the wall?? no dice. I had a hole already cut in my wall for a recessed AV box but it did not line up. I had to cut a 4" slit down the wall to be able t feed the cable through and down. Really dumb and thoughtless stuff at play here. The finished result I like, but it happened to work with my circumstance. I doubt most people will be happy when they get to the devilish details.**edit 5/18/2020Changing to 1 star. Just got off the phone with Samsung support and they are terrible. Just did another factory reset to try an resolve my space issue. This is the 2nd time support has had me do a reset. All my Art store favorites gone, all the photos I uploaded gone, have to go through the cumbersome Tv setup process again - Samsung account logon, Netflix logon info, Amazon logon info, plus all the typical Tv settings stuff...yada yada yada. This would all be OK if it actually did anything useful. Before the reset I had approx 200MBs of photos and 1 app installed, yet I only had 16% free space remaining. After the reset, 29% free!! Guessing once I copy my photos back I'll be near what I was before. Samsung is going to send a tech out to the house to look at the TV. Pretty sure this is a complete waste of time since their software and forced apps are so bloated. I hope I'm wrong, but this is probably not a hardware issue. When I called in I was asked if I wanted to take a survey after the call was over and I said yes. Funny thing, when I was speaking with the tech she said she had to hang up and call me back, "in 2 seconds." I hung up and she called me back almost immediately. Pretty weird. After our call was over I expected the survey to come up to rate the call/service, but it didn't. I think the call back was a trick to remove the survey. Pretty disappointed with the purchase now. It still looks cool, but I feel like I wasted $2k on an incomplete, poorly thought out, poorly supported device. This is the 3rd gen - you'd think they'd have it figured out
