𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
Quick disclaimer, I'm normally a headphone kind of guy. I've bounced around different TOTLs and settled on the Meze Empyrean, but these IEMs tickled my interest so I gave it a go. I'm also not the most articulate when it comes to things of the 'audiophile' nature, but I'll give it my best. Ran these on my Bifrost2 + Asgard.
😍 If you're going to spend some decent moolah on some earphones, they better wow you in 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 way. These do in quite a few ways. First is packaging and presentation. Like the earphones' appearance, the packaging is eye-candy. Lot of little extra bits to make you feel like there's a strong value proposition here. Tons of ear tips, some silicone some foam. A CA pin, bunch of little baggies, faux-shearling lined headphone bag/case.
🤩 The earphones themselves are also enticing. Yes, they're molded plastic, but they don't look cheap. It's got this almost mild translucency and vivid orange color, really reminds me of persimmon. I dig the look a lot. The plastic enclosure and shape also lend themselves to its comfort. They're lightweight and unobtrusive; I don't have any discomfort wearing them for a few hours on end.
😖 The smokey, silver cable is really soft and maybe feels a little delicate. I'm using them at my desk so it's a non-issue, but I wonder what longevity might be using these in a bustling kind of environment if you get what I mean.
😎 Let's get on to the most important aspect: sound. Campfire's description is pretty accurate. These are definitely mid-range focused. Bass presence is decent, there's some audible sub-bass but not pronounced. Higher frequency bass is punchy. It's not going to give you that 'rumble' if you will, but it's tight and enjoyable. Mids are pretty neutral and detailed, and highs follow suit but are tempered in comparison. Upper middle, lower high freqs were maybe a little sibilant for those with sensitivities but I had no issue with them. Soundstage is decent as well, but I haven't used comparable IEMs due to my usual preferences to give a really definite verdict for this aspect. To be fair as it was my first experience with pricier IEMs, I was actually surprised that in-ear can actually achieve this kind of separation. I'm sure there are more expensive buds that can do more, but I get the impression this is very performant for this price bracket.
𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
This is definitely not a product for the mass market who might prefer a strong V shape sound over all other aspects. It's a pretty neutral signature that has its strengths in mid reproduction, detail retrieval, and soundstage. I still think they're fun to listen to coming from someone who dailies probably one of the best sub-bass extending headphones on the market. I'd say they're worth the money, and it's earned Campfire Audio a spot on my watchlist.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2022These are a bit surprising to me because I had not previously heard of Campfire Audio but I am glad that I took a chance on them. They are packaged well and you can tell that a lot of thought and care/consideration went into the planning and presentation of the In Ear Monitors (IEM's). This is more of a "boutique" brand, from what I researched as it is smaller but it is supposed to have a lot more focus on the audio and tuning. From trying these out, I would tend to agree. The functionality of them is great, fit is outstanding for me (everyone is different but a good seal is essential), and these work with some Shure Bluetooth connectors that I found. I have really enjoyed using these with the Shure Aonic 215's (they share the same connector). It is the perfect combo because I can get great audio without the wires. It is not super economical, however.
With the above said, I'll evaluate these based on what comes with them. The wires are very cool but they are a bit thin. I have not had any issues with them and I love how soft and comfortable they are.
Fit is great and it hardly took me any time in order to find the best fit and seal.
Sound quality is great. These produce a great/wide soundstage, they hit a lot lower frequencies than I ever imagined tiny drivers for IEM's hitting, and they are not overly bright on the highs or muddy on the lows. These are just all-around very good for me with a very slight trend towards "warm" for the sound type (but again, everyone is different).
Construction is pretty good. These are supposed to be 3D printed and they would have to have been resin printed because there are not a lot of lines and they feel to be constructed well.
Cons:
The literal only drawback that I have concerns the MSRP. These are just not cheap. These are great and I think they can be worth it, depending on what you need/want them for...but these cater towards a more "audiophile" crowd. If you are thinking of grabbing them and reading evaluations, you are likely the correct target audience. Are these worth it? To me, they are close...I just wish they were about 20% less.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2021I was skeptical when I first received these headphones. However, once I tried them out I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of them.
These headphones come packed very neatly in a cool box. The design of the headphones themselves is neat as well. Some may be put off by the bright colors, but I found it very cool and different.
The fit is great and super comfortable. I am able to wear them for hours without discomfort. I do have larger ears so most earbuds tend to slid right in. I had my wife try them out because she has tiny ears, and they fit well and she also agreed that they are comfortable.
Now as for the sound quality, these are great. They hold up to the other name brand headphones and earbuds. They produce a clear and powerful sound.
I definitely recommend these in ear headphones.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2023Sound is very good, but I question if this was a new product. There were extras of some sizes and types of tips, and some had only one of a pair.. cleaning tool missing. Box was not sealed and had been opened. I would return but for the sound
Camp Fire Audio contacted me to work out a good solution.

5.0 out of 5 stars Woke BA quality.
Ignoring the unfortunate wokeness of CFA they do make quality IEM.
Accurate and lively this is a good BA design especially for the price.
Excellent accessories.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sehr angenehmer Hörer für bestimmte Musikrichtungen
- Campfire Audio Satsuma
- 7Hz Timeless
- Tripowin x HBB Mele
- KZ x Crinacle CRN/ZEX Pro
