Use the muslin bags in place of disposable plastic produce bags. These bags are ideal for leafy greens like spinach or lettuce, as well as thinner skinned produce, like cauliflower or berries.
Rinse off Leafy Greens at Home
This will wash off any residue from the store and transportation, as well as give the greens a kick of moisture.

Use the muslin bags in place of disposable plastic produce bags. They can hold large amounts of bulk foods without any falling out with the use of the drawstring. Using a washable marker, write the Bulk Number straight onto the bag, and fill it up.
Transfer to an Airtight Container
Once home, easily transfer all your bulk goods into jars or containers by holding the bag by two corners and tilting while the food pours out.
Store in the Cupboard or Pantry
Close up the container to preserve the freshness, and the bulk food is all ready to go. Then just throw the bag into the wash to remove the marker for your next shopping trip.
Definitely worth buying if you don’t use plastic bags
All and all I’m glad I purchased these 3 months ago. Living in CA I’ve put them to good use. They’re easy to re-fold and tick away. They hold a lot in terms of volume and weight. I had 6 wine bottles in one yesterday with no issue! 1 star deducted because a couple of them started tearing at the pocket where the bag folds back up in to. This doesn’t affect the carry bag part but since it doesn’t fold up and tuck away into my purse like it did before, I don’t use the ripped ones much.
