The Mackenzie hunting coat is a brilliant example of a brand letting the fabric do all the talking. This heritage design from Japanese veterans Freewheelers & Co, is cut from a naturally insulating 100% wool which is pure without being scratchy, and hails from the Mackenzie Woolen Mills. The natural rust colour of this coat is adorned with a simple duck and reed pattern, and harks back to the early 20th century when these coats were first designed. Simplicity meets elegance with vintage style blanket stitch finishing, contrasting the luxuriously soft, thick wale corduroy collar and cuff facings, which add comfort and protection. A detachable hood has been included in this design, and this excellent piece has been finished with natural deep nut colour buttons which have been custom made for the brand. Vintage nylon woven brand labels add a stamp of heritage authenticity on this unique design, which has quickly become one of our favourite winter warmers.
