Won’t cut thread
Seriously, did the buyers for Joann’s try these before they stocked the shelves with them? If a manager reads this, please get one and see if it will cut the thread out of a seam. Mine won’t.

Essential, but gets dull fairly quick
I believe I’m on my third one of these seam rippers after 20-30 projects. Granted, I use strong thread. I can remove maybe 12 yards of straight stitch before the blade won’t cut anything. I also have to tape the cap on. But you can’t beat the price if you can wait for a discount.

Not good; too thick to use.
This was a disappointment and not worth the money. It is too thick and won’t slip easily under the thread to be cut.

Buy the cheaper one!
Buy the cheaper one! It’s a seam ripper and it works fine. My complaint is the cover does not fit on the end, like the cheaper one. So with a day or two I misplaced the cover.

Ripped three inches of seam, hit a double stitched seam and broke the ripper. Five minutes use, tops.
