    I reviewer on NYT's Wirecutter highly recommended this T-shirt brand. While I don't agree they are the best T-shirt on the market, as the reviewer suggested, I do agree that they are a very good T-shirt for the price. I'd call them medium-weight, not heavy-weight. Upon first inspection after receiving them I didn't think they were as soft as I had expected given the Wirecutter reviewer's impression, but after having gone through one washing they were much softer. I have since ordered three more as they look nice, and are well made. I also like the slightly wider collar than what one typically finds in lesser expensive brands. Most inexpensive T-shirts have narrow collars that won't lie flat, but not these. I typically wear small sized T-shirts and found the small size here perfect. These are a great find.

    I own several of these comfort colors tees and I have about 4 that are older than some others. They are amazing! I love the fit, the coloring, the quality…just an overall amazing tee shirt. I call it my basic b***h uniform because I will literally wear one of these tees with a pair of leggings if I’m not going to work or if we have a “comfy day”. And that’s pretty much the only outfit I wear when dressing down.

    But recently I’ve ordered a few more with the expectation that they would be equally amazing and something is different. The coloring seems to be a very solid dye, not a more worn/well loved type of coloring, which I liked about the ones I already owned. But I attributed that to maybe it just takes a few washes to get that. But then the neck line is just not the same and as a neurodivergent girly, that type of thing is a hard pass for me. I bought a purple one and the neck line was so tight that it felt like I was wearing a turtleneck without the turtle part (if that makes sense). I just bought a black one and same thing. Upon comparing the neck lines of another color bought at the same time (but did not fit that tight), ones I have had for a long time, and the ones with a different fitting neck, I could tell that they were all different. The ones that fit tight in the neck having a thicker band around the neck hole. Of the color that fit better, I couldn’t quite tell if it was different or if the older ones have just been stretched out.

    So the jury is still out for me. I’m disappointed that I’m not having luck with the newer ones I’ve bought as these are all part of the same listing I’ve always purchased from. I have noticed that all my older tees have a tag that matches the shirt color and the newer ones that have a light beige colored tag seem to be the ones I dislike. Maybe they had to change suppliers for certain colors or maybe I’m completely mad. Either way, it’s disappointing that half the ones I order are not the fit I was expecting. 😔
