Customers are saying
Customers regard the Hue Lightstrip Plus for its impressive brightness and simple setup process. Many users appreciate its compatibility with HomeKit, allowing for easy integration into their smart home systems. However, some users find the price to be a bit steep, and there are concerns about the strength of the adhesive backing and limited connectivity options due to the direct attachment of one side to the transceiver box.

Awesome lighting
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome lighting. Easy to connect and setup. You will need a bridge to control the lights through your router, i found out the hard way. Can extend up to 32’ with extensions

Quality Stuff at an Insane Price Point! #Hue
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The good: 1. It's Phillips hue and works just like a hue bulb would with your hue hub (does not work with generation 1 hubs however). 2. The color is accurate, vibrant, bright, and saturated. 3. Great for a behind the tv ambilight setup if you have the hue box. 4. I do not have the hue box but it still works great while running the hue sync app from my computer and airplaying to the tv. 5. Amazon / Apple / Google compatible (as is all hue) 6. All of the other things that are good about hue lights. THE BAD: 1. This thing has less led's per meter than any strip I have ever seen. It claims there are 30 per meter but that is 100% false. I am used to 60-144 per meter however, but those are more technical/DIY type strips for intensive installations. 2. It is RGB, not "Addressable RGB" (like the hue gradient is). I think for the price, having to have all of the lights be 1 static color at a time is a RIP OFF. It would have cost them literally pennies on the dollar to give us some patterns / chasing effects...but I guess thats what the gradient strip is for (rolls eyes). 3. THE PRICE. I can't believe I spent so much on this.... I have three of them...and the outdoor one! : | 4. The sync box would make this a much better product, but the sync box is the most absurdly priced gadget I have ever seen in my life. If you are going for behind the tv with one of these, do yourself a favor and check out GOVEE RGBIC STRIPS! All that said, it's still hue, and high quality, and works very well. Just make sure that it is hidden (either out of sight or using channel diffusers) and you'll love em!

Philips - Hue Lightstrip
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have Phillip Hue products/Ecosystem these LED are a perfect fit to add on. They are pricey, I’d recommend waiting for them to go on sale. They will eventually drop significantly. Top LED on the market with wide ranges of color. Brightness is good and very easy to install

Great product delivers as expected
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Philips Hue lightstrip V3 (without Bluetooth) works great ! This works well with our Google Home voice commands as well. We have been looking at these for a while and finally they went on sale so we bought two sets (thank you Best Buy for shipping so fast). This version needs a Philips Hue Hub (we already had our Philips Hub setup on our network from a prior Philips light purchase). We were reading about people not having luck with the double sided tape on the back of these, but we have had great luck with them. These stick to the cabinets fine. After installing these, we had to update the software in the lightstrip controller. That took ~5 mins for each set. These lights have infinite color variations via their app. With our Google Home we can ask Google to change the color and brightness with our voice. This makes is so easy to use. We added a switch in the middle of the extension cord to help turn the lights off/on even faster (for those times Google doesn't recognize our voice). I ran out of heat shrink and had to use electrical tape - the good thing is nobody sees this so I wasn't as concerned with the appearance. The one downside is Philips does not have a way to split your lightstrip into multiple sections. We wanted to split one lightstrip set to work on both sides of our microwave, so we found some "Litcessory" connectors and extenders from another place. With Litcessory we were able to split the lightstrip in multiple places and even added some uplights above our refrigerator (bonus)! Before the lightstrip, we had hardwired round LED white puck lights underneath our cabinets for many, many years. They worked fine, but this Phiips lightstrip is so much brighter than our old puck lights. The difference between the old puck lights and these lightstrips is amazing! The ability to adjust the brightness and color makes these just great. Definitely would do this again !! Now we are looking at all the other places we can use lightstrips !!

Fantastic!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is no doubt that Philips is a leader in making hue lights. The light strip is an awesome addition to my home. Quality is super and setup is straightforward using hue app on my iPhone. I have purchased 3 packs. I installed one under my office desk, second is under kitchen cabinets, and third one is under kitchen island. At night I do not have to turn on my main lights as those 3 hue strips are enough to give me warm and fantastic lightning. Great product!

Good light strips
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the non Bluetooth because of the price and I have the hub. I installed 35ft in 5 sections of under cabinet lighting in my kitchen. They cant put out multi colors at the same time like LIFX but with litcessory products you can cut and run extensions in between strips. They are brighter than most of the cheap ones on Amazon and with hue you can run a reliable wireless dimming and scene switch. Good product overall

Great way to add color to desk
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a few sets of these lights in my house and have been happy with their performance. I had another brand of lightstrip for my desk, and wanted to change it to Hue so I can control it all from the app. Installation was easy as you just peel off the adhesive backing and apply to your surface. Lights are bright and they are easy to setup to work with Alexa.

Great for creating ambiance
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great and bright lights for just about any room. I used them for behind my TV. I love the HomeKit integration that lets me bark out a color and brightness level to Siri to change the light strip. I only wish it were a bit more flexible as I had to turn the strip 90° at the corner of my tv and the thickness made that difficult.

Q: QuestionWhere can i get more extensions? I want to add two more
Asked by MY141.
- A:Answer You can buy the extensions individually in a number of places, including BestBuy - look up "Philips Hue LightStrip Plus Extension". However, they are getting harder to come by because these older ones are being phased out in favor of the new Bluetooth strips. Be aware that you can't chain the new Bluetooth strips to the non-bluetooth Lightstrip Plus. Also, be aware that every time you add another extension, you'll lose a bit of brightness, since you're powering more lights with the same amount of power.

Q: QuestionHow does this work with Amazon Alexa if it is not Bluetooth?
Asked by Brendan.
- A:Answer Through wifi. You need the Phillips hue bridge if you don't have one already.. the hue bridge is hardwired to a router.

Q: QuestionWhat’s the difference between the light strip kit that says Bluetooth and non Bluetooth?
Asked by TheTruth.
- A:Answer Bluetooth version is the newer model and doesn't require the Hue hub to control, though I believe bluetooth control doesn't allow any sort of automation. Both models can be controlled and automated through the Hue hub, however.

Q: QuestionIt is not clear which light strip this is when trying to reference Hue's website - please help! https://www.philips-hue.com/en-us/lightstrips
Asked by Jschu.
- A:Answer The old version without Bluetooth and the LEDs are not independent. All will be the same color.

Q: QuestionI want to use the 2m strip on my desk and the 1m extension by my TV. Am I able to use the 1m extension independently from the 2m base kit? If so, I would assume that I'd need a 2nd adapter and maybe something else. Where can that be purchased?
Asked by BradScho.
- A:Answer If you want to control them separately, you'd need another base kit. You could remotely wire up the extension in a different location with third party accessories (i.e. from Litcessory), which is what I did for my undercabinet lights, but both segments would be controlled as one unit.
