Thought I was the only weirdo that struggled to dry her hair w/in 45mins.
Recently found out my best friend is the same & she (like me) was convinced there was no way around it. Writing this review b/c there's probably more of us out there. And you 100% aren't stuck.
I've got long, thin hair - but a lot of it. It traps moisture & it's naturally wavy, so it always took me 30-45mins to tame it dry. Most of the time, a solid 45mins. Result was hit or miss. Since I have to wash my hair every other day, breaking point comes when you don't want to wash your hair b/c you don't want to deal with the drying time & tired arms (...and I'm strong).
Bought this on a whim during a Gilt Group sale, when my generic (probably Conair) dryer was on the out.
Now I dry my hair in 10-15mins. Usually, a bankable 10mins. On a bad hair day, 15mins.
No, seriously.
On top of that pile of awesome, it's very light & evenly weighted. Buttons are intuitive & don't get accidently knocked on/off while you use it. Results are always the same. Doesn't damage my hair w. heat (probably b/c it takes so little time). And it's small enough that it's an easy travel companion.
Don't get scared off by this dryer's price - it's a life saver. And game changer. Delay getting this if you want to waste your time.

This dryer & a boar bristle brush easily tames my hair w. little effort & leaves it looking silky smooth. Every time. (Note: choose a brush that has both natural boar bristles & taller plastic bristles w. the knob-like, non-scratchy tip - needs a decent amount of boar bristles, but few enough to let air through easily. It doesn't have to be expensive, just needs to fit those parameters.) For doubled ease, get Shu's White Tea Polishing Milk. A little goes a long way. You'll be a happy addict. Rub some in your hands & pat it from middle of your hair to the ends, but particularly the ends to give them a little tangle protection. It helps smooth my hair even faster & it lets my hair better tackle humidity - friends have commented that I look normal when they feel they don't. PS - The brush & Shu isn't a hack - the dryer is. The 3 together is trifecta.
I was ecstatic to find this - I'd always struggled just to tame my stubborn hair. Now I actually feel in control of it. Just bought a replacement for my 3/4yr old original & also bought one for my mom as an xmas present. My friend's now a convert & begging for the name of my dryer.

Doesn't work if you want full lush curls using diffuser
I used to get perfect ringlets, thick feeling hair, very minimal to no frizz using the older version of the Sedu hair dryer (pictured above) with its diffuser. The first pic is the frizzy, thin, horrible results obtained by the new 4000i. The 2nd & 3rd pic 2 pictures are of the way I used to get my hair using the older Sedu model. I had high hopes for the new Sedu Revolution 4000i. I've tried several times washing/drying using the diffuser. All I get is thin feeling, thin & stringy looking, frizzy, barely any curls scraggly hair. The hairstyle has not changed, nor have the products I've used for years. So what's changed? The hair dryer. I tried both with Ionic and without with the same results. What I did like, smaller more compact size, you can stand it up on it's diffuser on the counter. A swivel cord would have been nice, but this model does not have one. For the price (not much more than my older model) I expected much more. I heard others express this problem with curly hair as well. I'll be sending this back. Very disappointed. So hard to find something you like that works well on curly hair. The hunt continues. ********** UPDATE: After submitting the above review, I thought about it...I wanted to be fair to the dryer and the positives I did experience. I realized I only focused on the negative (that it did not work for my hair type). There were several redeeming positives I did love. After researching my older model of at least 10 years (a good old war horse, which says a lot) I realized it was a Ceramic dryer. Pics attached. Since the new 4000i is an Ionic, therein lies the problem. I think Ionic does not work for the kind of ringlets I was looking for, but oddly turning off Ionic did not change/fix the problem. I do however, like this dryer for it's compact size, long cord, it had the exact same diffuser as the older model. If you have straight hair or straighten your hair it will probably work for you. It's a good solid brand, just not for curly hair. I ended up ordering a $40 ceramic that I will test today. Wish me luck! *********** Well it turns out ceramic was just the ticket! So apparently that's what works great on giving you ringlet curls.

This hair dryer is AWESOME! It cuts the drying time in half, it takes care of frizziness and untangles hair easily, it is beautiful in vision and handy to touch . The filter is removable, that means if you need to fit it in a tight space, taking off the nozzle and the filter the measure is 5 3/4" (the advertised is 6" which counts with the filter on, yet without nozzle) on the length. In general I would say the width with nozzle and filter is 7 7/8" height. The back is ergonomic, therefor the different measures. Not easy to find a comparison with other dryers, since it I wasn't clear WHAT was measured in each. Diameter is 3.25W.

There are "similar" yet not equal items, like the >Sedu Revolution 2015< which doesn't indicate tourmaline, nor ceramic. The 'grey gunmetal' advertised right here doesn't have pictures, so it might be the 2015 or another version. Not clear to me, since the picture in my last check leads to the unfinished 2015 version, just a simple dryer no special technology following the indication in the description. Could be, though, the one with yellow button as found in google images, instead?
