Clippers with a major, obvious design fail
I have an identical pair of these that are 40+ years old and still work well but look their age. When I saw these on Amazon I figured I'd replace my existing ones and still retain the nostalgia. These look identical to my old ones, but there is one major difference- the old design uses long pins to retain the spring; this limits the opening and doesn't allow the spring to fall out. The new design uses two rounded cones to retain the spring. And if you set the clippers down with them unlatched, the spring will pop out. How you could sell a premium priced and very simple product with such a flaw is baffling. I would've returned them but I didn't use them until after the window closed.
